Maid of Honor
Kari is the maid of honor, in very small part by default of being Dana’s sister but in a much larger part by right because she’s truly one of the most incredible people Dana has the privilege of knowing. She’s the steadiest friend, best listener, wisest counsel, fun storyteller, and has the most incredible ability of taking her faith seriously while enjoying life with a childlike wonder. As any great older sister should, she has successfully helped Dana navigate adulthood, and remains available for any ongoing questions about it as they arise. Fun fact: Kari’s wish came true in 1990 when Dana entered the world on her birthday… her best gift ever?!
Best Man
Wesley is Justin’s cousin, but is more like a brother who has been by his side his whole life— both as a partner in crime making memories in the backyard and as Justin’s powerful bodyguard fighting off bullies on the school playground. Just six months apart in age, the two instantly formed an effortless bond as kids and have grown up together enjoying hobbies like fishing while on family trips to Estes Park, Colorado and Big Sky, Montana. Justin is grateful to have his lifelong friend by his side on his wedding day.

Katie and Dana met in college during their first year at Covenant but didn’t really become friends until a few years later. Both on the quieter side, they hit it off with their love for art and could waste the hours away creating while talking about all facets of life in the process. Katie is a friend who asks good questions; genuinely cares to know you; and lives out her faith with a steady peace about her, compelling you to pray for the same. A fun fact: She can humbly complete any physical challenge with ease, most notably riding a 1970s bike named “Cecil” in a triathlon where she smoked her friends, including Dana, who all had modern-day lightweight road bikes.
Groomsman
Jeremy, another cousin of Justin’s who’s like a brother, took the time to encourage and support Justin growing up. Jeremy helped instill confidence in Justin, teaching him how to fish and play the guitar. As the older cousin who experienced everything first, Jeremy’s interest in sports sparked Justin’s too, leading Justin to play soccer and basketball before gravitating toward hockey later in his life. Protective like Wes, Jeremy has always had Justin’s back, not just as familial duty might entail but as a trusted and caring friend.

Desiree and Dana first became friends on the soccer field at Covenant when Des was a senior and Dana was a freshman. It wasn’t until a few years later when Des, Katie, and Dana lived together that they grew closer while bonding over movie nights in the backyard, adult league soccer, camping, training for a half Ironman (that Des somehow talked Dana into doing, even though Dana couldn’t swim great or really bike great for that matter…), and doing whatever other fun things Des easily convinced Dana to do. Des is one of the most spontaneous friends to be around; the laughs are always guaranteed, but always combined with genuine love and care.
Groomsman
Garrett and Justin met in art class during their senior year in high school, which prompted them to room together at CU Boulder as they both studied architecture. Four years of being roommates in college turned into another two years of navigating adulthood post-college as they started their careers. During all this time, Garrett tried (and possibly failed, jury is still out) to get Justin into hiking but traveling across the U.S. and abroad eating incredible food with Garrett was more Justin’s style. Garrett should have known since the chocolate cakes he baked were always half eaten while the hiking boots in Justin’s closet never existed.
Bridesmaid
Jaimee and Dana have known of each other since high school, back when Dana “didn’t like Jaimee” mostly because she was really good at soccer and hard to defend when their schools played each other. Dana didn’t learn of the quality type of person Jaimee is until after college when Jaimee started hanging out with Des and then became an honorary roommate for Des, Katie, and Dana. As the story goes, Jaimee always liked Dana, which goes to show the type of person she is, on and off the soccer field. Jaimee was also integral in encouraging Dana to be brave and move to Denver, a decision that’s been one of the best in her life.
Groomsman
Brian and Justin met during their freshmen year in high school. Sharing a love for music, the two started a band together with Justin on the guitar while Brian played a variety of instruments. Brian also shares Justin’s affinity for movies; he’s equally content to watch several movies on a weekend in between watching their favorite sports teams, the Nuggets and the Avs. Brian is a CPA, enjoys chess, and is ranked in the 88th percentile of all rated U.S. chess players.
Bridesmaid
Mae Mae and Dana met in high school at summer soccer camp at Covenant College. Mae Mae has been pulling Dana out of her shell ever since by asking great and random questions, inviting honest conversation, and cracking some jokes along the way. Mae Mae is a fiercely loving friend who is quick-witted, loyal, and fun. Through similar life experiences, Mae Mae and Dana have bonded over both the deep struggles of life and eternal joys that Jesus brings into it. Though several states separate them in distance, Dana is thankful for Mae Mae’s constant friendship and intentionality over the past 10+ years of navigating life post-college.
Groomsman
Trieu and Justin met in college at CU Boulder while on a retreat with their campus ministry group. They bonded quickly over hockey and their love for the Colorado Avalanche, and Trieu remains Justin’s go-to for all the insider knowledge about their favorite team. Trieu loves fishing of all kinds, another hobby that always comes up in conversations while catching up. Trieu is from Colorado but now lives in Arizona where he is working in prosthetics.
