House Or Rental
All of the wedding day festivities will take place in this decadently luscious secret garden den, in an intimately private and immersive backyard setting. The venue is graciously donated by a bridesfolk Chelle’s mother Kathy in the town next door to where the bride used to live during her PNW adventures. Spectacularly impenetrable to any of Google’s services, the magic of this enchanting space comes complete with an overgrown door entrance off the main road where guests will enter and which will then provide the backdrop to the wedding altar, a beautiful brickwork pathway which will serve as the aisle, several sectioned off spaces for various activities, its fiercely snuggly outdoor protector, mr. Mari the cat, a pond, a fire pit, a shed, and more wonders than this text box can behold. Please do be sure that you enter through the garden gate off of Pioneer as the front door on Tasman’s cul-de-sac is unsafe this time of year. The garden will be full of colorful leaves from the trees that change, evergreen droppings from the ones that don’t, and whimsical flower choices that would make Coraline’s Other Mother jealous! The garden will be lit invitingly and leveled accessibly with a high chance of glittering frost and romantic rains set against Oregon’s general seasonal backdrop of lush evergreens and rainbow of fall colors. There will be several activities, lots of chairs, and strategic tables where necessary.

If you are a vendor or part of the wedding party, please contact us before making arrangements as at least some of your arrangements may have already been made. There are several colleges in the area and all of them have big games this weekend with other big colleges. They’re also having Halloween events at the colleges and around this college town. Lodging is expected to be very difficult and probably loud, so get what you can as early as you can! Also, we highly recommend Airbnb as it has saved us a ton of money and given us much nicer and much more peaceful accommodations. We were able to house our vendors and wedding party for half of what any block prices were giving us, and it can be especially affordable if multiple folks chip in! Do check in with hosts early and often.
Travel Note
These hotel deals are available only through our personal link! If you are a vendor or part of the wedding party, please contact the couple before you book as at least some of your accommodations may have been covered.
Travel Note
Due to the sports events this weekend at the colleges, some companies were unable to get us block deals. See the previous link for the hotel blocks we were able to get.

There’s an RV park next to Enchanted Forest Amusement Park (as well as a hotel there) and an RV park in Tualatin. We don’t recommend camping in very cold, heavy rain and frost, but to each his own. If you’re going to do it and have an RV, that’s peferable. If you’re comfortable in the snow and set on camping, there are apps for that, including boondocking. Oregon RV parks hold up the 10 year rule.

Airlines accessible to Corvallis include PDX in Portland and EUG in Eugene. It says there is one at OSU, but that is a lie. That one is private use only. Eugene is a little harder to get around and there are Ducks! (#gobeavs) There is, however, last time we checked, a shuttle between OSU and PDX that you can get a separate ticket on and it will take you straight there where someone in the area can pick you up easily.

Make sure you have your necessary documents to travel if you aren’t an Oregon local or driving.

We know plane accidents are up. If you still plan to fly, the safest airline at this time according to Google is Alaska. It is also currently the most affordable at present if we are strictly focusing on going straight through the airline apps and using any potentially associated points. We plan to inquire about some “wedding wings” group details soon.

Have the time to/need to travel for free? Here are some common ways to do that. They generally take some time and elbow grease. Not listed from what we can tell and the initial Google results are shopping rewards such as ibotta, survey rewards, paid gaming app rewards, etc. We have had great luck with these types of apps, especially for Disneyland and shopping. Also not listed our parks for leaving reviews. Some company is will also give affiliate discounts, work discount, discounts, and volunteer discounts. You often can also get a little cash to travel through donating blood, etc. if you are eligible and up to it. Good luck! <3

Ask any libraries you have a card with for travel related perks such as National Park Passes, etc. While you’re there, grab some reading materials. We like ebooks for accessibility but they also won’t get lost or be late. Put your device in airplane mode for a little extra time to read without effecting anyone’s book access. Many apps these days will take multiple library cards of you have them. Turn your devices on do not disturb for a while and enjoy the nature of Oregon the way many locals love to.
