Just a note to say please check times, dates, and hours for all events here as this is an educated guess based on the previous year’s activity dates as the exact events weren’t scheduled at the time of making this website.
This picture was taken in a church parking lot behind some bushes dripping with blackberries by an overpass. It was the bride’s sacred place.
If it’s not too frosty yet, you might still be able to mushroom forage. I would go with an experienced group. You can also forage for food and other natural resources. There’s a strong natural food and alternative methods of getting resources mindset here so visit the farms, pick the herbs (with caution), go to the co-ops and farmers markets, hit up the little food pantries, barter. Even double check to see what the local freegan community is up to and whether dumpster diving is currently allowed. Ask that person your burning questions about their chicken coop.
They’re always vivid, fresh, and otherworldly.
These beauties are from Kathy’s Garden.
It’s in plentiful stock.
Go collect or buy rocks anywhere. Better yet, take a local crafting class, make something you love, and have a skill forever that will help you for the rest of your life. This is how the bride learned jewelry making and some other crafts she used for CrescentsCrafts, the business she was working when Jeff saw her working at an event and bought her coffee, which became a tradition for a couple years. This is an excellent activity for extreme weather since it’s usually inside.
Chalk & Paint Are Also Local Favorites. Walk around town and keep your eyes peeled. Take pictures and document your thoughts.
They’re everywhere, especially downtown and campus.
They may be mostly pretty tart at this phase but the sun kissed flavor makes it worth it, especially if you can find a more mature one. Blackberries are invasive so no one minds. In fact, they grow out of control in the area. Linn-Benton County is listed but really you can go to most places in Oregon to experience this. The image we have posted is from the parking lot at Enchanted Forest when we last went on July 13, 2024. See Enchanted Forest for more details. The couple learning to forage food where we can, and encourage you to try it (with caution).
Keep in mind that the pace of life is slow here. You may find yourself arguing with a fellow driver over who should go first at a yield sign, they may strike up a long conversation in stores, and food may take a while.
Near the venue! The bride used to have yoga, potlucks, meditations, hot tubbing, farm life education, events, and music recording and networking here.
For those of us staying in Waldport, this is walking distance from the room.
Keep in mind that coffee lovers might find the options a bit limited here, but don't worry, Corvallis has got you covered! If you're craving a great cup of coffee, check out Dutch Bros, Coffee Depot, Interzone, The Beanery, Java II in the OSU library, Sam's, or Wisecracks - or explore the trendy pastry shops and stores downtown. If tea is more your thing, the Oregon Tea Shop is the best around. If it were a Saturday, we'd tell you to hit up the Saturday Market downtown and enjoy the vendors and adorable dogs too! If you're still looking for something chill to do before you leave, a tour of the OSU campus is always free and a great idea.
If you have the time and money and any interest in Indian Restaurants, this is Sierra’s favorite one and the one that made her fall in love with Indian Food. It has some wild hours but if you can make it work, it’s incredible.
Rosemary fries and OSU brewing student beers. Other good bars include Crow’s Nest at American Dream Pizza (which is also good), what was formerly Suds at Woodstock Pizza (which is also good), The Peacock, Harrison’s, Squirrel’s, Caves, Cloud 9, and more.
Such a good place for breakfast! Especially if you go to Saturday Market! Which is an excellent place to get $1 local seasonal flowers for the wedding… and pet dogs. It’s also the mecca of free artisan local farmer-made food samples. :)
We know a lot of Californians will be joining us for the celebration, and we're hoping they'll feel fairly at home at Mexico Lindo - it's one of our favorite spots for decent Mexican food in the area. A casual, recharging, communication-friendly environment. Other decent spots for Mexican food include but are not limited to Riva’s, La Rockets, Qdoba, Taquiero Alonzo, and more. Trip Tip: The business in this strip mall that's in the middle of the parking lot used to be a Verizon that the bride worked for. Trip Tip: Some nights the local drag scene does shows here.
Two words: Marionberry shake! The burger is good too. These are affordable and everywhere and we don’t know why you’d bother buying any other fast food.
For all your Walmart-like needs, but nicer. A great place to take pictures of the great indoors when the great outdoors is too easy. You’re currently viewing their apple display. This is a great place to try some Tillamook products like Marion Berry ice cream, local Oregon beers, Beaverton mustards, and more.
The bride’s favorite physical tea store.
Jeff loves the dogs. Sierra loves everything.
Visit the local pagan shoppe. This was the place that the bride purchased her first supplies and the second time she heard SJ Tucker, after the groom showed her the artist. Local pagan shoppes are the backbones of our communities. It’s also the best place to buy beads and jewelry supplies.
You know you want to. This time of year the leaves glitter. Be careful, though, that’s frost and it’s slippery, even for locals.
*Fall Festivals* - *Corvallis Fall Festival*: A vibrant arts event featuring over 170 art booths, live music, and interactive art activities. The bride’s very favorite thing in the world. - *2 Towns Ciderhouse Harvest Celebration*: A celebration with local craft beverages, food, and community activities. The bride recalls when this company was taking off locally as Corvallis is one of the two towns. She remembers a summer art festival in the park, trying it for the first time to the tune of live art and tie-dye. Bridesmaid Chelle has a relative who works there as well.

A beautiful combination of fall weather and local architecture all the way to (and through) the campus. This is how the bride walked to school from her apartment for 3 years. A stunning way to enjoy some views for free.
A lot of our Oregon friends are from this very encounter.
OSU is open 24 hours for free. (Don’t get locked in the library overnight though! Do see the library!) You can do free guided or self guided tours. There are many places to spend time such as many lawns, but the MU is lovely inside and out. It’s a great place to enjoy cool air, the piano, or occasional performances. There’s plenty of sports to watch, and the Dixon is a nice gym. If you see a Block 15 beer in the wild, the brewery students make those. The Pride Center often has events that cater to different age groups depending on the type of event and if you like drag, be on the lookout for Dam Right Drag Night and say hi to Lucille! Harrison Street is close by as well if you’re hungry. Cafe Yum! is an excellent choice as is Interzone and McMinnamins. On campus, be on the lookout for Moo Milkshake machines, and in the Cafeteria, where Sierra worked her first Oregon job and recommends The Deli or Calabaloos.

This is a multi step process involving a password and a dagger key. On the bride’s wishlist. It’s new, so guests have expressed interest also.
If you loved used book stores, get ready to cry. A good Corvallis alternative is The Book Bin in Downtown. They have a cat to make up for the size difference and you can pay for your book addiction in books.
Check out Portland’s quaint shopping for any reason but Sierra loves Lush.
These delicious shops are all around Oregon. There’s some in and near the airports, so the bride and groom love to get it on their way in or out of Oregon, but the one across from OSU in Corvallis on Monroe is the bride’s go-to school location.
View the absolute icon that is this carpet. Google it for images. Take your time. Yum’s is pretty good too.
Physics doesn’t always work here. On the bride’s bucket list.
Trip Tip: Oregon prides itself on its local beers, if you plan to go out outside of wedding events, try a local seasonal drink.
It’s good for you here. :)
It takes no space, looks great in a scrapbook, is plentiful, tells you about the place you’re visiting, and has better pictures than you can take. The bride and groom love to do this.
The following list was made when the wedding was previously going to be in summer. I will be fleshing out both sections just for fun. For current events, keep to the area above this message. For folks curious about the warmer seasons, keep scrolling.
For many years, Oregon was home to the Pagan music scene and a Pagan music festival called Faerieworlds. It held all of Jeff and Sierra’s favorite artists in the genre including international bands. Sierra dreamed of going, but it didn’t survive the pandemic. When the seasons change to summer, a homesickness takes over Sierra for Enchanted Forest and this festival, two things she had to move before she ever got to see. Jeff took her to Enchanted Forest for the first time last year for their anniversary where he intended to propose as it was the farthest they had ever been together. The wedding themes pull so heavily from Faerieworlds in part due to the originally planned summer date in the interest of keeping the couple’s anniversary the same and stayed when it became a fall wedding. Now Jeff will give Sierra Faerieworlds in their own way even when the festival has long since died.
See the wedding schedule page for details. Open only during the best weather. Tickets are $25 and rides, food, etc. are individually priced. They also have gift cards and souvenirs including purchasing a brick! You can check them out on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and even Spotify for more information. Fun fact: this park was made by one man in the 70s and has been run by his family since. Walt Disney is said to have checked out the park and to have been impressed. To those who join us, we hope you enjoy your experience. If you are bringing mobility aids, it can get tricky at parts but is possible, especially with help. The park is brick laden and slants down a hill but Sierra had more trouble on Tom Sawyer Island at Disneyland. If we are lucky we may be able to pick the first few blackberries of the season from the bushes in the parking lot.
Absolutely breathtaking and frigid in the middle of summer.
Or another river of your choice! Take your group on intertwines of your choice and float on the river with or without treats and take a cheap camera. It’s a great way to spend a few hours.
Or another river of your choice! Take your group on intertwines of your choice and float on the river with or without treats and take a cheap camera. It’s a great way to spend a few hours. I hear sometimes folks will drink Deschutes on the Deschutes, but be cautious with that if you choose to do so of your very own accord.
Or another river of your choice! Take your group on intertwines of your choice and float on the river with or without treats and take a cheap camera. It’s a great way to spend a few hours.
Or another location of your choice. Lava Lakes is a great option and has many caves you can explore with guides. Please be kind to the ecosystem we share and don’t wear the same shoes in two different caves… *EVER IN YOUR LIFETIME.* Thanks for making kind choices!
One of the bride’s favorite free activities in warm weather. She tried it with the groom a few times and he liked it but wasn’t very good at it. She shared this hobby with her dad one summer and he loved it. When she came back to Oregon, one of the first things she wanted was to check if a cache spot she loved was till there. It was, and she was able to surprise her mom and Bridesmaid Chelle with a tiny little space man.
Consider seeing the sites from The Goonies in summertime. The beaches and tide pools and parks are really special in the warmer months.
