Over the Summer, Mount Hood Meadows runs a chairlift up near the top of Mount Hood! You can hike, bike, or take the chairlift back down. The wildflowers will be beautiful in July and you'll be able to get a great view of other mountains like Mt Adams, Mt St Helens, etc.
Oregon is known internationally for its fantastic wines- many grown in the Columbia valley! With over 20 wineries close to Hood River its hard to choose, but we recommend: Mt Hood Winery, Marchesi Vineyards and Stave & Stone Estates (or tasting room Downtown!)
There are tons of wonderful Breweries in Hood River! Enjoy some of our favorites: Double Mountain, Ferment and pFriem for great Pacific Northwest beer and local eats.
The #1 most visited Scenic Stop in the Pacific Northwest, if you haven't seen it before we highly recommend! A beautiful waterfall and bridge you can hike up and around. Feel free to continue on past the falls to climb higher for amazing views of the Gorge. Note the falls gets very busy on weekends and you may have difficulty parking!
Feeling like stretching your legs? There are tons of great hiking trails all around Hood River and Cooper Spur. Check out some of our favorites: Tamanawas Falls, Timberline Trail (which you can access walking distance from Cooper Spur!), and Dog Mountain (for those really wanting to challenge themselves for great views!)
There are a plethora of Farm Stands, u-pick fruit, u-pick flowers, cideries etc on Rt 35 between Hood River and Cooper Spur. It makes up a path called the "Fruit Loop" that you can drive. Leave yourselves time to stop, get some fresh fruit and honey and check out the bounty of the PNW!
