We thought we’d get out ahead of it and address the obvious question, "Why Cocoa Beach?" The decision to do this in Cocoa Beach rather than Houston began with the following observations: 1.) The heavy majority of our guests will be travelling from out-of-state either way. 2.) Houston: Difficult to navigate, horrible weather, expensive. 3.) Cocoa Beach: Small, laid back, ocean breeze, great bar and restaurant scene, abundant tourism opportunities. Additionally, we have a personal connection. Evan's fraternal grandparents took up residence there back in 1993 and the extended Rattenbury family have visited frequently over the years. Gramma Jan was the first family member to meet Rosie and it has been a special destination for us since we first traveled there together during the early stages of our relationship. Grandpa Ken passed away in 2013 and Gramma Jan recently relocated back to West Virginia, but in tribute to her and her late husband, we decided this was the best place to bring everyone together for what we hope will be a fun and relaxing wedding weekend.
