Rocky Mountain National Park is a must-see while you’re in the area! The YMCA of the Rockies is uniquely located with several trailheads that lead directly into the park, and guests can also take a shuttle from the property for day access. Please note that during the summer and other high-traffic months, Rocky Mountain National Park requires timed entry reservations for private vehicles from 8a-2p. Perhaps the most famous landmark in Estes Park, The Stanley Hotel is known for its historic architecture, beautiful mountain views, and its inspiration for The Shining by Stephen King. This classic Estes Park attraction takes visitors up Prospect Mountain for panoramic views of the town and surrounding peaks. Rides are about 4-5min each way, and average $30-40/ticket. At the top, you’ll find scenic overlooks, small shops, and a great place to relax and take photos.

The Riverwalk is a charming walking path that winds through downtown along the Big Thompson River. It’s flanked by a historical downtown district with shops, cafes, and local restaurants and is a great place for a relaxing stroll, ice cream stop, or casual afternoon exploring.
