FAQs

The Wedding Website of Leslie Jayne Grafelman and Evan William Bolen
Question

When should we arrive?

Answer

We hope you can make a weekend out of our celebration. The wedding party and extended families will be arriving on Thursday (8/27) or Friday (8/28). There is so much to do in the area, you will have no shortage of activities! As for the big day, we will be shuttling guests to the ceremony location from outside the main lodge as there are very limited parking spaces at Overlook Chapel for the ceremony. Shuttle rides will start at 3:10pm and the last ride up will be at 3:50 for our 4:00 ceremony start.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We’re so excited to celebrate with you and kindly ask that guests wear semi-formal attire for the ceremony and reception. For men, this includes suit jackets or blazers with dress pants. For women, cocktail or midi dresses, or dressy skirts and tops are perfect. Our wedding party will be wearing varying shades of blues and greens, so there’s no need to coordinate with us on colors. For the rest of the weekend’s events, please wear whatever makes you most comfortable and relaxed—we can’t wait to spend time with you all!

Question

What will the weather be like in late August?

Answer

Colorado summers are beautiful, but they can also bring occasional light afternoon showers, so we recommend planning accordingly. Since our ceremony is outdoors and uncovered, we suggest bringing an umbrella just in case—we’re embracing the possibility of a little mountain rain! Temperatures in the mountains are typically mild, with warm days and comfortably cool evenings. We also recommend packing sunscreen for any time spent exploring Estes Park and the surrounding area.

Question

Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?

Answer

The whole weekend is being hosted at the YMCA of the Rockies- Estes Park Center. The ceremony will be held outdoors at Overlook Chapel and the reception will be held indoors at Assembly Hall. Please reference the map in the travel section to help find your way. Don't hesitate to ask the front desk for specific directions upon check-in as well.

Question

What is the parking situation?

Answer

Overlook Chapel has extremely limited parking space, so we are shuttling guests from outside of Longs Peak Lodge to the mountainside where the ceremony will be held. Longs Peak Lodge has ample parking both for those staying the night and for guests coming for the day. This shuttle service will begin at 3:15pm and the last ride up will leave at 3:55. After we tie the knot, the shuttle will return guests to Assembly Hall where cocktail hour and the reception will be held for the festivities to continue! Please plan to take the shuttle as very few parking spots will be left after those involved in the ceremony and those with accessible needs arrive.

Question

Will there be food and drink available at cocktail hour?

Answer

By request of the YMCA, we may only serve pre-portioned, individually packaged snacks during cocktail hour. Please help yourself to those prior to the arrival of the wedding party and start of dinner service. There will be an open bar available with N/A options as well.

Question

When do I need to RSVP by?

Answer

We will be providing final guest counts to our vendors on July 18th, so we kindly ask that you submit your RSVP by that date. With a full summer ahead, we won’t be able to follow up individually, so we truly appreciate you taking a moment to respond on time. All RSVPs will be completed through our website—no need to mail anything back!

Question

Do you have a room block available in Estes Park?

Answer

Yes! We have blocked off rooms at the YMCA of the Rockies in the lodge for our guests. Visit the "Travel" section to find the link to book. Click "View" and it will take you right there! Please note that all rooms within our designated block must be booked by **June 28th, 2026** to secure the group rate.

Question

Do I have a plus one?

Answer

All plus one's should be attached to your RSVP. If you are hoping to bring someone with you and no +1 has been associated with your RSVP, please reach out to the bride or groom so we have accurate counts.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes! Kids should be attached to your RSVP.

Question

Still have more questions?

Answer
