We’re blending traditions from both sides! Irish weddings tend to go later into the night than American ones. Our reception will run until around 1:30am. We’ll also have an open bar (a more American tradition), which is our treat to you. Cheers and sláinte!
We’re only able to accommodate the guests who are listed on your invitation. You’ll see all invited guests listed when you RSVP here on our website. Thank you so much for understanding!
Please submit your RSVP here on our website by April 10th. If you need to make any changes before the deadline, you can update your RSVP the same way you submitted it, or reach out to Evan or Jenny directly.
Yes, for guests staying at Dromoland Castle, the Inn at Dromoland, and the Old Ground Hotel, shuttles will be provided to and from our welcome party on Friday, our ceremony & reception at Dromoland Castle on Saturday, and our day two on Sunday. When RSVPing, please select which of our hotels you'll need a ride from for each event so we can plan accordingly. We will post shuttle timing here on our website closer to the wedding.
The ceremony will take place outdoors in the Walled Gardens. In the event of rain (if the witch I hire on Etsy doesn't pull through), the space will remain outdoors but will be tented.
The ceremony will start promptly at 4pm in the Walled Gardens, which is a few minute walk from the castle. Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early to allow time to find a seat. Once the processional begins, we won’t be able to seat anyone else for the ceremony.
Yes, there is a large lot near the tennis courts, around the back of the castle. It is about a 5-minute walk from the gardens where the ceremony will take place. You are also welcome to leave your car parked there overnight.
Yes, please note any dietary needs when you RSVP, or let Jenny or Evan know ahead of time. Dinner orders will be taken at the reception once everyone is seated. A vegetarian/vegan option will be available upon request, even if it’s not listed on the menu.
Shuttles will be provided to and from Dromoland Castle, the Inn at Dromoland, and the town center of Ennis (for the Old Ground Hotel) for all weekend events. Uber is available in the area, but it works a little differently than in the US. It’s used to hail a local taxi rather than pre-pay for a ride. You’ll pay your driver directly based on the meter. Another app you can use to hail taxis is FreeNow. If you're staying at an Airbnb or private rental, be sure to use the house's Eircode (similar to a US zip code) when booking a taxi to help drivers find the exact location, especially in more rural areas where house numbers or street names may not be used. Below are some taxi contacts in the area: Tom Whyte (+353 86 257 9354) Pat McMahon (+353 86 821 9100) Dom McMahon (+353 86 604 4433) Martin Monahan (+353 87 368 1841 Gerry Nolan (+353 87 135 5006) Niall Cleary (+353 87 244 9446) Tony Woods (+353 87 254 7511)
