We met through our roommates at MSU. Jenna's dormmate and some friends went to a MSU football game, but Jenna left early not feeling well. After leaving, her friends moved further down the bleachers next to Evan's roommates. That night, the girls were invited over. Later, Evan admitted he pulled aside one of his roommates when the girls walked in to ask who the beautiful girl was. It was Jenna.

In the middle of a UP winter, Evan took Jenna for a weekend getaway to his "true home", his Nana's house. Once getting the dogs on a walk promptly at 11am, Evan dropped down to one knee in the snow in front of his Uncle Trae and Aunt Kathy's house. The surprise did not end there, as both our families were waiting to surprise us to celebrate our engagement.
