Eunice and I met our senior year in high school. We had two classes together and sat next to each other in both, AP Psychology and AP Biology. I remember thinking, wow this woman plays the drums in the school band like a bad bitch, she speaks her mind, is hilarious and is really kind. From there, our friendship developed. I swear her note-taking skills she shared with me are what got me into Berkeley. I had the huge blessing of rooming with her my freshman year, and junior through post graduation. She taught me how to be a great friend and great roommate. From there on, she's been an anchor in my life!

Being Gop's older brother, I've known him since the day he was born, that's why I'd like to think I know Gop better than anyone. If you ever wondered where did he get his great taste in music? He stole that from me, even though he'll deny it! His sense of humor? Also from me! His impressive driving skills? Let's just say I might have allowed him behind the wheel when he was only 12 or 13 years old. His style and taste of clothes? That DEFINITELY wasn't me; which is why at times, growing up, I thought he was adopted. Throughout the years we've shared so many amazing moments together, can't wait to add your wedding to the list.

Eunice is my best friend from college, and yet we never met on campus! Seven years ago, we first chatted in Córdoba, Spain as we anxiously awaited meeting our host mothers for our study abroad program. As Eunice tells it, I apparently gave off quite the standoffish-vibe. But, thankfully that didn’t didn’t last and we became fast friends bonding over the lack of any decent Asian cuisine in our town, nomming baguettes and cheese in Paris, and walking back home together daily for lunch and siesta. Eunice is one of the strongest, most inspiring people I know. Her unwavering loyalty, compassion, and patience is beyond compare. She is a beautiful human and will create an incredible new journey with Gop.

I consider myself extremely lucky to have met Gop in 2004. What started as a competition over who would get the highest grade in Mr. Derr’s 6th grade science class (we both lost to Rachel Lev) has blossomed into a 17 year friendship. Gop’s giant heart, his humble nature and his ability to find laughter everywhere have always amazed me. He can’t take all the credit though, as his family, one I consider an extension of mine, is made up of the most loving, caring and warm people I have ever had the fortune to meet. So yeah, as I said, I consider myself extremely lucky.

I first met Eunice in the fall of 2015 competing in a perilous game of Broomball (ice hockey but wearing tennis shoes)… where we stood at the periphery of the rink chatting and watching people chase the ball, fall and slide on their butts. I thought Eunice was super cool, witty and fun to talk to (still is!) and made sure digits were swapped to make the friendship official.

Gop and I go long way back, we became friends since the early days of high school (~13 years). Instantly we began competing in everything, academics, sports, hobbies, you name it. Eventually, I realized I can't beat this guy in tennis so I joined him and we took over Willowbrook's #1 doubles spot. Gop is one of the smartest and genuine person I've known, but his best quality is being empathetic towards those that he meets.

Eunice and I first connected over product design bootcamps and poke bowls. We hit it off immediately, exploring and eating our way around the East Bay, talking for hours, and laughing nonstop until our faces & abs hurt. She felt like the sister I never had and has been my number one hype-woman since day 1.

Sept 2014 -- I distinctly remember the day I first met Gop, because it was also my first day moving to UC Berkeley and into student housing in Channing Bowditch as roommates. Fun fact: Gop was actually my first ever roommate, so/and I also naturally got the pleasure of meeting Eunice! We immediately got along and the rest is history 😉🚀 I couldn't be happier for you both!

Eunice and I first met in ballet class when they were in 5th grade. We spent most of our school years staying up past bedtime chatting on AIM until we moved in together in college, where we stayed up past bedtime chatting in person. As adults, we still spend hours at a time together, but are much better about going to sleep on time.

We met not too long after Eunice and Gop started dating (and it doesn't hurt that I'm Eunice's brother). Gop and I bonded over games and our love for new gadgets, and I definitely look forward to calling him my brother-in-law.

I met Gop back in 2007 when I first became friends with his sister Hap. Over the years I have seen him grow up and achieve great milestones in his life, from graduating high school to attending college, building his career, and ultimately finding his life partner. Gop clearly seems to enjoy my company as he followed us to California to intern at Chegg, and after graduating joined my next company Nectar :). Through all this I spent a lot of time with him and enjoyed seeing his progress. We also had some good times together and he is probably the only Heer who experiments with all kinds of food and whiskey. Gop has been like my 4th child, younger brother, and a great friend all rolled into one. Looking forward to your big day, and officially welcoming Eunice into the family.
