Sail Pepin

We operate four daily scheduled Lake Pepin sailboat cruises from our Pepin and Lake City locations. These charming river towns are superb gateways to beautiful Lake Pepin, home to exceptional outdoor and cultural activities – all just 45-90 minutes from Minneapolis/St. Paul, Rochester, La Crosse, Winona and Eau Claire. We’ve been providing sailboat rides, sailing instruction and corporate and youth sailing teambuilding programs since 1997. We serve the sailing communities in Minneapolis/St. Paul, greater Minnesota and western Wisconsin by offering a wide variety of Lake Pepin sail boat charters, sail boat rentals and sailing programs.

Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum

Laura Ingalls Wilder Little House

Through the generosity of the Pepin business community and the landowner, the Laura Ingalls Wilder Memorial Society was fortunate to be able to acquire three acres of land at the original site of Laura’s birth. It is on this property that a reproduction of the Little House in the Big Woods cabin was built, using detail the Laura Ingalls Wilder remembered in her book, Little House in the Big Woods. ​Enjoy a self-guided tour. The Wayside Cabin is open all year long, 24/7. The grounds are maintained during the warm seasons, though the driveway is not regularly plowed in the winter. There are picnic tables and limited restroom facilities onsite. No running water or electricity. The cabin is served by a horseshoe-shaped driveway that allows easy access and exit for all sizes of vehicles, including campers. Please understand that the driveway is not plowed during the winter, and snow depth may not allow entrance of vehicles.

Five-Mile Bluff Prairie State Natural Area

Located on 300 foot high river bluffs, Five-Mile Bluff Prairie contains an excellent dry prairie overlooking the Chippewa and Mississippi Rivers.
