We're Getting Married!

The evening before Eric proposed, his brother Charlie called us and asked if we wanted to go to dinner at Nelson's at Terrenea Resort in Palos Verdes tomorrow. This made me believe that going to Terrenea was all Charlie's idea. Then, the morning of our dinner plans, my best friend Ashley called me to see if I wanted to get my nails done, which I never do so I thought it was a little suspicious especially the morning of our dinner plans. I called Eric to tell him I was going to get my nails done with Ashley and he responds with "why would you go get your nails done, you always say that's a waste of money." This made me think it was definitely NOT happening! Why would Eric discourage this if he were to propose? As we were getting ready to leave for dinner, I noticed Eric bought a new shirt to wear. I started to piece things together, and even texted my mom and sister telling them I thought it was going to happen! But the little details of Charlie's invite and Eric discouraging me getting my nails done made me think otherwise. As we got to Terrenea, Eric walked me down to the water because he wanted to watch the sunset before we met his brother and girlfriend for dinner. That's when I knew he was going to propose! I remember how happy I felt and how overwhelmed with joy I was. Eric took me to a beautiful cliff and proposed as the sunset. We stayed at that spot for an hour, as I wanted to soak in every moment. He told me we weren't having dinner with his brother after all. We headed up to the bar and as we walked up the stairs, our friends yelled surprise, they were there to help us celebrate! They had cookies that said "Congrats Michelle and Eric" and champagne. My family even sent a congratulations video since they couldn't fly out. I was in shock of how thoughtful everything was. This was absolutely the best day of my life!
