Is a recent negative Covid test required? (YES!)

Answer

This is an entirely outdoor event, however there will certainly be hugging and hand-shaking and we will all be in close proximity with each other. Therefore, we are REQUIRING our guests to get a negative Covid test within 24-72 hours of the event. If you RSVP "Yes" you are agreeing to get that Covid test. We need to ensure the safety of all our guests, so if you aren't comfortable getting the test, we kindly ask you to not attend. We also strongly prefer that all our guests be fully vaccinated. You may consider bringing a mask in case you find yourself standing quite near to folks not in your family group. Also, Jayk has OCD so he will probably be sanitizing his hands like a madman and have a mask nearby.

Is there a theme or a color pallette?

Answer

If you want to add some deep purple, lavender, or pink to your wardrobe, that'd be fun, but no pressure to do so. Could be just a pop of color like a pocket square, whatever. No real theme to the wedding beyond Jayk and Erin getting married in a big beautiful garden full of love!

What's the dress code?

Answer

"Garden cocktail attire" is a good descriptor! This is an outdoor wedding and reception, so keep that in mind. For Men: A suit is great! But not necessary! We would prefer no jeans that look like jeans. Something slightly dressy for a garden party. For Women: A dress is nice! But not necessary. Just think garden cocktail attire. Let's have fun!

Can I bring a plus one? (Nope, sorry!)

Sorry, but no! We got hecka people coming and we gotsta feed 'em all and fit into various areas and places. If you come alone, we promise to introduce you to cool people!! We'll probably even sit you next to like-minded people on the seating chart for the reception!

Should I be fashionably late? (No!)

Answer

You know, Jayk's been late for everything his whole dang life so he is not judging, but we'd prefer you get there during the Welcome Event rather than showing up later!

Is there a vegetarian option for the food?

Answer

You bet there is! There are lovely chicken options for the meat eaters, plus some pasta and vegetables for you veggie lovers!

Are y'all going to be serving booze?

Answer

Naw! Neither Erin nor Jayk drink so we're not gonna be serving "hard beverages" at this lovely fete. Better pre-game if you're planning to get saucy.

What's the story with the reception?

Answer

It's all happening at the same spot. The ceremony is in the Celebration Garden and the reception is at the Peacock Cafe, and those two locations are right next to each other. The reception will feature dancing, music, a full meal, cake, and a lot of the usual things that happen at wedding receptions. Only this one will be for Jayk and Erin!

Is there a bathroom at this outdoor wedding?

Answer

You bet there is! There's a really nice bathroom right next to the ceremony spot.

Is this place handicap accessible?

Answer

It sure is! The walkways in between the areas are flat and wide. There is a ramp for getting into the thing. The bathroom is accessible. It's all good!
