Our Story
Erin and Muyambi met in 2023 on a dating app. What first brought them together was a mutual love of breakfast, especially pancakes. This made their first date an easy choice–it had to be brunch. Muyambi chose Le Diplomate, a classic DC spot. When they met, Erin was drawn in by Muyambi’s smile and Muyambi was intrigued by Erin’s calm demeanor. After their first date, they continued to bond and met up all over DC. They enjoyed eating gelato, playing bocce, and, of course, making pancakes.
As their relationship grew, they went on adventures near and far, visiting places locally and internationally. They spent time with friends, went to church, and met each other’s families. When Erin had to be abroad for work for several months, they made it work and learned even more about each other through lots of phone calls. When she returned, the next step was clear. Muyambi couldn’t let this God-given gem slip away, so he proposed on October 5th. Of course dinner that night was at Le Diplomate.
