Washington Dulles International Airport
DC has three airport, but Dulles is the closest to Culpeper and likely the best port of entry for those flying locally and internationally. For those looking to spend sometime in DC proper during your visit, you can fly into Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport or Dulles and metro into DC or surrounding areas. Hotels in DC are likely to be expensive but there are lots of options including Airbnbs in surrounding neighborhoods in DC, MD and VA that are relatively affordable. The metro system is the greater DMV area is easy to use. Uber, Lyft are plenty available too. From DC to Culpeper, its about 1.5-2hours driving but there is a train option as discussed below.

An Amtrak train is available from DC to Culpeper, however, we would recommend having some type of transportation in place for your time in the area.

May is wedding this season in Culpeper. Hundreds of couples flock to this city to marry - apologies, we could not resist the urge to join in. Due to this high demand in the sprawling Culpeper metropolis, hotels will likely be full. So it goes without saying but Airbnb is a great site to find accommodation. Book early or be left to sleep on your friend's couches and air mattresses. That's if you even have friends in this high rent and overly crowded city.
