Yes! We have a smaller community coming together, and while we'd like to keep a headcount running so we can make sure kids are entertained, we're totally in love with the little ones in our life and want them with us, if that's best for families! Everyone without kiddos, please keep this and mind and be respectful of the families joining us.
As much as you know we looooove dogs, we're asking our friends to leave their furry pals at home for this to reduce chaos during our intimate ceremony, and to do the same and be respectful to our neighbors during the party. Everyone that knows Fern knows getting her out of the house either day alone is likely going to be an event, without any added paw ;)
Getting hitched is huge on it's own and we really need to have a little space so that we can fully enjoy all the days we get to spend with everyone, especially since we will have a week of fun. As well, we do have a town curfew when we need to wrap the party, so it's easiest if we have everyone join us at our home during the day, and find alternative accommodations for evening. Let us know how we can help, and we are more than happy! There are tons of options for camping close by at friends as well as public lands, and a variety of housing options in the valley. Please carpool & make plans ahead for safely getting home!
We're hoping everyone will join us vaccinated, so we can have the safest event possible for everyone, and be kind and respectful to our full community and those they love, too! As of May, with things a bit better nationally, we're deeply hoping our community will support us by respecting this wish and coming vaccinated, but not mandating it to join us. We will however be keeping tabs on everything, and updating this as needed! We really appreciate everyone's support as we navigate this as best we can. Please feel free to reach out to either of us about any aspect of this!
We're covering our friends with beers, a keg, wine, and two craft cocktail options so you are all set to be well hydrated (and our non-drinking friends too!). We would hugely appreciate if you could help us and our friends Cam and Renee who are running the bar service by tipping them for their incredible work. (They are masters!)
Yes, welcome to the mountains! Our home sits somewhere around 6500 ft above sea-level, and the mountains fall just under 14,000 ft. If you're a family or friend not living at altitude already, please be aware that it can have serious impacts regardless of how healthy or in-shape you are. Staying hydrated is key, and understanding that alcohol hits harder at altitude when you aren't used to it (as a wedding vendor, Erin has personally witnessed how this can impact a wedding day both in drinking and in people missing the day due to being sick-ha!). If you start to feel crappy, get to lower elevation and lay-low, pushing it doesn't help (speaking from experience). Please keep this in mind when hiking, and check in with us if you aren't from the area and do want to do some exploring. There are some key know-hows we're happy to cover with you!
