We technically met on a dating app that we both had very shortly, had an extremely brief and weird interaction at a music event, and went separate ways. Randomly a few months later, Jay texted Erin and we started chatting more and went out for our first date (*with Carson). Pretty much from that week on, we have been inseparable. We both have had our separate realization moments, but Erin looks back at moments on their first camper trip, and sitting on the porch of their first home, "The Hoback Shack" (a literal shack in the woods- no heat, running water, bathroom, etc), but the prettiest woods!) and knowing this love was way way more than I ever expected. (To be completely honest, I thought I had entirely lost my mind at that point. As it turns out, sometimes, you just know.) Our story has a variety of wild rides, highs, lows and a lot of love: -including multiple first dates with our good friend Carson (which we will forever cherish our stories from). -living over a year in an off-grid cabin, "The Hoback Shack" (as in, no bathroom, river for dishes and baths (or sneaking to KOA and pretending to be guests), and frequently no or minimal heat. -tiny-house living, through quarantine . -sickness & health... we got that covered. -our first real home that we snagged in 2020 and are loving (and can't wait to share with you all!). -Fern, our pup & child -and a lot of adventures, near and far, mountains to coasts. We can't wait to celebrate with all of you who have supported and encouraged us through this wild ride, and give cheers to a lifetime of joy, love, and adventures with the community we love and who brought us together! *ps, you'll see "mountains to seas, you're the one for me" included in our day- from a letter Erin wrote Jay during their first summer together while she was away working and fishing in Alaska.
