Question

I've heard Denver is the Mile High City- Should I prepare for the altitude?

Answer

YES- we are the Mile High City! You can check out the official seal on the capitol's steps! The basics of partying at altitude and recognizing the signs of altitude sickness: 1. Stay below 7,000 feet the first day and give your body time to adjust! We have a lot of great in-town activities to check out here. 2. Avoid strenuous exercise the first day (you're welcome for the pass). 3. Limit alcohol intake- Just take it slow and alternate with WATER (see #4) 4. DRINK MORE WATER. The air is drier and your body will dehydrate much more quickly. The higher up you go, the more water you should drink. 5. Always travel with a companion. If someone begins to experience severe coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath or chest pain, get them to a lower altitude ASAP and call 911. 6. The effects of some drugs can be greatly increased at higher altitudes. If you plan to run a marathon while you're here, check in with your doctor first. 7. Get plenty of good rest and enjoy yourself!

Question

I have NO IDEA what to pack! Is Colorado cold in October?

Answer

To be honest with you, we have no idea. We barely even watch the Weather Channel here. Colorado's weather is always changing and pretty unpredictable so we recommend packing in layers and keeping an eye on your weather app in the days leading up to your travels. One thing that is unique about Colorado weather is... "It's a dry heat" here. For those of you traveling from the more humid parts of the country, that means that 75 actually feels like 75. It's crazy, but we call it "home." We are also accepting prayers and blessings for good weather!

Question

Do you two have a registry put together yet?

Answer

Yes, thank you for asking and making sure our pencils are still moving! We are registered at Crate & Barrel, Target and Zola

Question

*sigh* COVID- What's the plan?

Answer

We had hoped that by waiting a little longer to get married, we could avoid this. but here we are... We are so sad that this is still part of our planning process, but it is a reality that we must plan for. Out of respect for our family, friends and loved ones, we are requiring that all guests be fully vaccinated and receive applicable boosters if eligible. We will be keeping a close eye on federal, state and local mandates, along with our venue, as we move closer to our wedding date. We will provide any applicable updates on our website. REGARDLESS: we will still require full vaccination at all events related to our wedding celebration. We want to thank you for respecting the difficult choice we had to make and appreciate your understanding as our decision absolutely comes from a place of love and care.

Question

Are kiddos allowed at the wedding?

Answer

Unfortunately this is an adults only event. Yes, we have a few littles in our wedding party, but they will be the only children allowed at the event. We absolutely love everyone's sweet kiddos and would love to visit with them another time!

Question

I have some dietary restrictions. Who should I communicate this to?

Answer

Please let Erin know as soon as possible so we can plan appropriate options with our caterer!
