Erin and Bill unknowingly crossed paths many times before officially meeting on Valentine's Day 2015. Bill and his college friends would frequent the Coors Brewery Tour ("Coors Lab"), where Erin served them many beers over the years. Who knew that beer and friends would bring them together several years later? After Bill spent a few years back in Texas, they ended up at a bar on Valentine's Day with mutual friends. Bill managed to get Erin's number (a big thank you to our friends who made this happen!) and a few weeks later, beer brought them together again on their first unofficial date. Their first official date was a ton of fun, exploring our downtown neighborhood, Five Points, through giant bowls of ramen and a few competitive rounds of skeeball. Erin and Bill made a big commitment that summer to each other, creating their first vegetable garden, exploring Denver and the rest is history...
After a year of missing our families because of COVID, we embarked on a few roadtrips to find some much needed family time. Yes, Apollo came too and has become quite the roadtrip dog! We spent Thanksgiving in Dallas with the Haley's and headed to Cleveland for Christmas with the Steiner's. Christmas morning started early, thanks to Erin's niece, Emma. Bill was very quiet all morning and was wearing a nice shirt to the 6am event. Erin thought nothing of this... Erin had been campaigning for a new food processor and once she opened it and celebrated, she sat back, relaxed with her coffee and watched the chaos of Christmas morning with a toddler and puppy. Towards the end of gift opening, Erin's sister, Cari, passed her one more gift from Bill- a small square box, covered in glittery snowflakes. As Erin opened it, Bill took the box from her, pulled out a beautiful ring box and got on one knee. True to our style, Bill kept it short and sweet, saying "Erin, will you marry me? I love you." and Erin of course said yes. Everyone cried, Emma wondered why, and were there pictures? Of course! Did Apollo stand in front of everyone, blocking the actual proposal, Bill on one knee and Erin crying? You know it!
Bill and Erin are SO excited to share the most special day in their journey together with our friends and family! We hope to see you all in the beautiful city of Denver SOON!
We are certainly sad that this is still part of our planning process. PLEASE NOTE: Out of respect for our family, friends and loved ones, we are requiring that all guests be fully vaccinated and receive applicable boosters if eligible. We will be keeping a close eye on mandates, guidance and recommendations as we move closer to our wedding date, however we will still require vaccination at all events. We thank you for understanding as our decision comes from a place of love and care.
