Cycling
Erika and Nick will be riding through the Portuguese countryside. Will you? This will be an intermediate ride about 50 miles into the countryside led by a local English-speaking cyclist complete with a cafe stop. Will pick up from Janelas Do Mar. Please do NOT book independently unless you plan to rent a bike for a longer period of time or on a different day.

Hiking the Coast
The Seven Hanging Valleys trail is absolutely gorgeous and a must-see! There will be a group trip led by Erika to and from this 3.7-mile trail on Friday, September 16th in the morning, we will be returning by lunchtime.
Hike: Friday, September 16th at 9AM
Please complete the form to be included! You may leave the group or stay at one of the beaches at any point during the hike! You will just need to Uber back to your hotel.

Marina de Vilamoura
A beautiful marina with lots of yachts, shopping, bars and restaurants.
Kayaking/Boat tours through Caves
A short drive/train/bus to Lagos can lead you to beautiful tours either by kayak or boat. We are providing a website, but if you drive to Lagos you can find many tours and rentals the day of near the beach.
Sagres Fortress
The Fort of Sagres is located on a dramatic, narrow headland that juts out into the Atlantic Ocean to form Portugal's most south-westerly point. For all you history buffs, legend has it that this is where Prince Henry the Navigator established his navigation school.
Wine Tasting
About a 25-minute walk or 15 min bus ride to this Winery. Closest Winery to Janelas Do Mar.
