Question

How did Erika & Nick meet?

Answer

On a clear south Florida night in 2018, Erika was attending her friend Chelsea Michaels Halloween party. She specifically said "I don't want to meet anyone tonight" while dressed as Sandy from Grease complete with blonde wig. Nick was invited to this party through mutual friends and almost did not attend. He showed up as Bill Clinton (well, really a meme of Bill Clinton). The next day Nick invited Erika to brunch where they both ordered cobb salads and listened to loud electronic dance music hungover. After an awkward kiss, Erika determined that they would never speak again. Three days later Nick called and they spoke for over an hour. On this call he revealed his karaoke song is "Larger Than Life" by the Backstreet Boys and the rest is history.

Question

How did Nick pop the question?

Answer

It was a beautiful fall morning just outside of Crested Butte, Colorado - 3 days after Erika's friend Emily Merchant's wedding ;) Erika and Nick drove to a hiking trail called Horse Ranch Loop where the Aspen trees were a vibrant highlighter yellow color and there were beautiful vistas at every turn. They were prepared for this hike as earlier in the week Nick purchased a CamelBak hydration pack as he refused to carry a water bottle. About 20 minutes into the hike at one particularly beautiful clearing, Erika was taking in the beauty and taking some photos when she heard "Erika, the CamelBak is leaking!" We had just purchased this pack so Erika figured something was wrong with the tubing, etc. When Erika turned around Nick was on one knee.

Question

What is the weather like in the Algarve in September?

Answer

Average 72 F, with highs in the upper 70s and lows in the 60s. Pack sweaters for the evening hours.

Question

What is port wine?

Answer

Port wine is a Portuguese fortified wine produced in the Douro Valley of northern Portugal. It is typically a sweet red wine, often served with dessert, although it also comes in dry, semi-dry, and white varieties. We will be serving Port at our reception, but it will be at your fingertips anywhere in Portugal.

Question

Cell Phones?

Answer

There will be wifi on the premises of all the hotels, but we do recommend at least one person in your party having an international plan.
