We're getting married!

We first crossed paths our freshman year at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2014, thanks to a mutual friend, Kody. While Erika was busy with the UW Marching Band and Brandon was on the club volleyball team, we often bumped into each other at campus events and mutual friends' parties. We even took turns sleeping on each other’s couches during apartment transitions! It wasn't until a New Year's Eve trip to New Orleans in 2019 that we realized our connection was deeper, culminating in a memorable New Year’s kiss. Despite living in different states—Brandon in Long Beach, CA, and Erika gaining her master’s in nursing at Marquette University in Wisconsin—we decided to embrace long distance in 2020. After Erika graduated in May 2021 and took a job at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona, we spent a year visiting each other, roadtripping between SoCal and Phoenix. By the summer of 2022, Brandon’s remote sales engineering job allowed him to join Erika in Phoenix. After a year together in the Arizona heat, we were ready for a new adventure. In 2023, we embarked on our travel nursing journey, exploring multiple cities like Seattle, Sacramento, Denver, and Milwaukee, all with our two cats, Nemo and Dory. Brandon proposed to Erika in February 2024 in Napa Valley, marking an unforgettable year of travel together. Now, we're back in Madison, where it all began, as Erika has accepted a permanent nursing educator position at UW Health. We can’t wait to celebrate our love and the start of our forever with all our favorite people in our favorite city!
