House on Metolius

All wedding weekend events will be at the House on Metolius. The venue is somewhat remote (and incredibly beautiful!) service can be spotty, so make sure to visit the link for how to join us.

Rental Car

Carpooling

Our venue, House on Metolius, is located in the tiny town of Camp Sherman which is about a 1 hour drive from Bend, Oregon the town where we met! We will not be providing a shuttle service for this event, so you will need to find a way to reach the venue by car. Uber/Lyft are not good options to the venue itself, so renting a car or carpooling are the best options. If you are looking for others to carpool with or split a rental, please let us know! We are happy to help connect out of town and local guests to ensure everyone makes it. If you are a Central Oregon local who is open to carpooling, please email us. Flight

Redmond Municipal Airport

House on Metolius is about a 1 hour drive from the Redmond Municipal Airport (RDM) making it the closest airport to the venue. RDM has flights to major west coast and mountain west airports, so most travelers can fly there with 1 layover or less. See the link below for ground transportation options. Note: Uber/Lyft are not good options for travel to/from the venue, so renting or sharing a car will be the best option for the last leg of your travels. If you book your stay in the town of Bend, Sisters, or Camp Sherman, we can make an effort to connect you with someone willing to carpool.

Flight

Portland International Airport

Oregon's largest airport, PDX, has travel options for all and is about 3 hours driving (a scenic drive over Mt. Hood or the Santiam Pass) from the venue, House on Metolius. See the link below for ground transportation options. There are transit options to Central Oregon but note that car is the best way to get to the venue itself. Note: Uber/Lyft are not good options for travel to/from the venue, so renting or sharing a car will be the best option for the last leg of your travels. If you book your stay in the town of Bend, Sisters, or Camp Sherman, we can make an effort to connect you with someone willing to carpool.

Hotel

Gorge Campground

This beautiful riverside campground is a short (~10min) walk from the venue (House on Metolius). We will be claiming first-come first-serve campsites in the days before the wedding, there are 18 sites total that can accommodate 2 vehicles each. See campground website for more site information. The sites cost $35/night x (2) nights = $70 (extra vehicle fee as applicable) for the weekend. Please reach out to us directly to let us know if you would like to stay in the campground via email, and if you would be interested in sharing your site. Costs can be divided across all staying in a site, once all sites have at least one occupant. If you have a preference for a particular site please let us know, and we will accommodate as sites are available. If you would like to borrow or rent camping supplies for your visit, let us know and we can see about setting you up with someone who has extra. *we can also make showers available to anyone camping as the venue has many and we would be happy to set up a shower schedule to make sure everyone is squeaky clean (if they want to be!) House Or Rental

Short Term Rentals

There are a number of short term rentals <30 mins from the venue (House on Metolius), with Camp Sherman, Black Butte Ranch, Tumalo, and Sisters being the closest locations. Sisters is the larger of these options, with a walkable downtown and lots of shops. A little farther from the venue is Bend (~50 min away), a rapidly growing city with options for every group or budget. Lots to do and walk to here—as a hub for the area it is a great place to stay if your trip will be longer than the wedding festivities. Aim for the Old Bend and River West neighborhoods.

Hotels

The nearest hotel to the venue is the Suttle Lodge, situated on nearby Suttle Lake and a great place to stay or visit. It is about a 20 minute drive to the venue, House on Metolius. There are a number of hotels in Sisters <30 mins from the venue and situated a short walk from shops and restaurants. Farther afield we recommend staying near downtown Bend. This puts you ~1 hour from the venue with lots to do and places to walk.
