Things To Do - Orlando Edition

Disney Springs

Disney Springs

1486 Buena Vista Drive, Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830

If you're in the area and you're not looking to spend the time or money on going to the Walt Disney World parks, we would highly recommend getting some Disney magic at Disney Springs. We love the restaurants, entertainment and shopping in the area. *Pro tip* if you want to resort hop, parking at Disney Springs is FREE and then you'll have access to hop on the Resort buses and see all the beautiful locations around the area. Highly recommend stopping by Disney's Boarwalk Resort and stroll around Cresant Lake. You can also catch the Skyliner there and head over to Disney's Riviera Resort. Another option would be to take the buses from Disney Springs to Disney's Contemporary Resort and then hop on the monorail and get amazing views Magic Kingdom and all the monorail-linked resorts around the park. Stop and have a snack and drink at some of the locations!

DOMU

DOMU

3201 Corrine Drive, Orlando, FL 32803

This is one of Eric's top spots in Orlando. As a ramen-lover her usually gets excited when we pick this place! If you're going to go, you HAVE to get their WINGS! They may be the best wings in Orlando, in our opinion. It's best to go early and put your name on the list as they also don't accept reservations. East End Market is a great place to bop around in general so you'll have plenty to do when you wait. We would recommend going to the restaurant and NOT ordering from their other location that offers Uber Eats...so much better in house.

Universal CityWalk Orlando

Universal CityWalk Orlando

6000 Universal Boulevard, Orlando, FL 32819

Another option for those who want to enjoy the tourist-y side of Orlando that should not cost more than parking is Universal CityWalk Orlando. If you're not interested in going into the parks, this is a great place to stroll around for shopping, dining, entertainment and more!

Plant Street

Plant Street

426 W. Plant St., Winter Garden, FL 34787

This is 30-40 minutes from Downtown Orlando but one of the BEST places to visit. You have to stop at Crooked Can - favorite brewery in central FL. The market has everything from sushi to tacos. They have great BBQ and pizza options and fun snacks! This entire area of Winter Garden is filled with restaurants, shopping and history.

Reyes Mezcaleria

Reyes Mezcaleria

821 North Orange Avenue, Orlando, FL 32801

We are big Mexican food fans and this one is a bit more upscale! Incredible place for some good quality Mexican food! Another spot that is on Uber Eats that we would recommend if you love Mexican eats as much as us would be Quesa Loca for their birria tacos.

The Hampton Social - Orlando

The Hampton Social - Orlando

9101 International Drive, Orlando, FL 32819

Recreate Eric & Michelle's first date by heading to Hampton Social (good for brunch/lunch/dinner) and hang out in Pointe Orlando where you'll find many other restaurants, entertainment options, bars, music, etc. Or walk up and down I-Drive for all the fun touristy spots.

À La Cart

À La Cart

2207 East Michigan Street, Orlando, FL 32806

I don't think we have met a beer spot in the area we didn't revisit over and over. A La Carte has two locations in the area, both offer food trucks and a wide variety of beer! They have everything from IPAs to tours and promote many unique breweries. It's more of an indoor/outdoor setting so it's a great spot to visit on a beautiful day! Other locations we recommend are GB's bottle shop, Sideward Brewing and Ivanhoe Park Brewing (events on some Fridays with food trucks!).

Chicken Fire

Chicken Fire

2425 East Colonial Drive, Orlando, FL 32803

This is the spot Michelle claims to be the best hot chicken in all of Orlando. Even though she goes with the spiciest options, it's probably recommended to start with MILD! Available on Uber Eats as well if you love hot foods!

Briarpatch Restaurant

Briarpatch Restaurant

252 North Park Avenue, Winter Park, FL 32789

Hands down one of the best brunch spots in Orlando, if not the best! This is a spot that you will have to wait in line for as they do not offer reservations. It is worth the wait and then explore more of Park Ave afterwards for cute boutique vibes and other great restaurants.

SoDough Square (SODO/South Downtown)

SoDough Square (SODO/South Downtown)

419 East Michigan Street, Orlando, FL 32806

We love lots of different pizza places around the city like Ziggy's for a thin crust, AJ's in Winter Garden for multiple styles and great flavor, but we tend to order SoDough more often than not. It's Detroit style and insanely good and filling! Your best bet is to grab this on Uber Eats.
