Maid of Honor
Kathryn is Sarah’s little sister and has been her built-in best friend since 1989. More like a “little big sister,” she’s always offered equal parts love, care, and fun. An art director with a passion for knitting, baking, and traveling, Kathryn is also a proud dog mom to her four-year-old Brittany, Red. She now lives in Arlington, Virginia, near Sarah—and no matter the distance (or lack of it), she’s always been by Sarah’s side.
Mario Candamo Cabello, MD
Best Man
Mario met the groom back in third grade in Cayey, Puerto Rico, where they were classmates and fellow Cub Scouts. There’s even a local newspaper photo of them doing science experiments like tiny professionals! Over the years, Mario has been a constant presence in Eric’s life—funny, dependable, and always ready with a laugh. From serving as teaching assistants together in their senior year to sharing adventures at EDM festivals and basketball games, their friendship has only grown stronger. Today, Mario works in internal medicine and lives in Chicago with his wife, Kathy.
Stella Walker
Jr. Bridesmaid
Stella is Sarah’s 11-year-old daughter and the heart of our little family. Eric lovingly sees her as his step-daughter. She is the “big sister” to our grey tabby, Oliver, and also helps care for her two Dobermans, Rza and Roxi, at her dad and stepmom’s home. Athletic and adventurous, Stella loves skateboarding, swimming, flag football, running, and spending time with her wonderful group of friends.
Michael Minock
Ring Bearer
Michael is our sweet and lovable nephew (the bride’s nephew). He’s in 3rd grade, loves playing soccer, and is an impressive student—currently mastering his fluency in Spanish so he can chat with his soon-to-be tío Eric!
Chrisianna Minock
Flower Girl
Chrisianna is the bride’s hilariously spirited niece and the undisputed little boss of the family—hence her nickname, "Ma’am"! A true future CEO, she’s full of energy, charm, and leadership. In 1st grade, she already balances tennis, gymnastics, and a huge circle of friends—our little social butterfly.
