Santa Fe is the oldest capital city in the US. You are always welcome to go into the Roundhouse for free to view the Capitol Art Collection and the Governor's Gallery. You can also learn about the political history of New Mexico through their guided tours.
Just a bit ways out of Downtown Santa Fe (or La Plaza) is Canyon Road. A road dedicated to many artists in Santa Fe. Similar to the galleries in La Plaza, you can walk into most of these galleries for free and enter a mini museum of art. Highly recommend taking a stroll down this road.
The petroglyphs are an amazing place to hike!! You get to see some real cool petroglyphs which paint a story (literally) of Santa Fe History.
Plaza Cafe has two locations (other location below) and they are both so delicious!! We especially recommend their brunch, but you can also have some dinner here if you'd like!
Very great food and (especially) drinks if you want to stop by after walking around downtown.
As stated, we highly recommend brunch here! The southside location may provide you with better parking spots for brunch time. Also, both locations have great cocktails!
Tacos here are SO GOOD!!! It is a MUST if you are in Santa Fe and want some good tacos. It's sort of tucked away, but if you're heading to La Plaza it's a good place to stop or even on your way back from downtown.
If you are looking for some good Mexican food, this is the place to go! They serve a variety of Mexican dishes and are very delicious.
This is a GREAT and AFFORDABLE brunch spot! They are authentically New Mexican and serve a variety of delicious dishes. Highly recommend and their prices are right!
Great American fare restaurant with a slight New Mexican twist!
They have a total of three location. This is another great place for some good new mexican fare and very affordable! I have only tried the Pantry on Cerrillos Road, but I've heard great things about the other two.
