Matron of Honor
I met Ashley during our first year of college at UVa, and I have followed her around ever since. We've both built our lives and families in Atlanta, and our dogs Harley and Lily are even best buds. Ashley is one of my most thoughtful friends - always willing to lend a listening ear and reminding me that I'm funny even when I'm probably not. In college, we used to say to each other, "see you at your wedding." While I knew Ashley would marry her college sweetheart Pritom, I didn't know if this day would ever come for me. But I knew that Ashley and I would be lifelong friends, and now I can't imagine marrying Eric without her. Fun Fact: Our wedding day is also her birthday, so please share some good wishes!
Best Man
I first met Jonathon in college at Auburn University. He was a guy who seemed to know everyone and everything, so I knew I had to become buddies with him. After college, we both ended up setting our roots in Atlanta. We've been on many adventures together, from a weekend at the Preakness Stakes, to the beach, to several golf tournaments. The thing that I respect most about Jonathon is how dedicated and committed he is to what he believes in and enjoys. That shows in his marriage to Jenny. I was honored to stand next to him as he married the love of his life, and now he gets to do the same for me.
Bridesmaid
Angela and I go way back to elementary school, so we were trouble from an early age! We grew up going to school and playing soccer together for a decade, including riding the bench our freshman year on the varsity team as we won the Virginia State Championship. We dubbed each other 'soul sistas' on the bench, and we have stayed true to it as ride-or-die friends. We have shared so many memories over 25 years, including countless fast food runs, soccer games, prom festivities, VMI visits, Ring Figure, road trips together, and Angela & Sal's wedding weekend. Angela and I have singularly kept Taco Bell in business over the years, an accomplishment we don't take lightly. Angela is the most funny person I know and my longest friend - I'm honored to have my 'soul sista' stand by my side.
Groomsman
I met Josh in middle school when we were both in orchestra. However, our friendship did not form until junior year in high school. We sat next to each other in class and competed against each other on tests. I would score better than him, but he ended up becoming the math teacher. I remember the day he started to practice card tricks, and now he is a magician. We went to different colleges and settled in different states, but we stayed in touch over the years. One of the best things about Josh is his ability to stay grounded while enjoying the moment. Our friendship is the same way, and it has continued to grow. I am honored to be a groomsman in Josh's wedding, and I cannot imagine marrying Nicole without him standing next to me.
Bridesmaid and Sister of the Groom
Sydney is Eric's younger sister, and we met about two months after Eric and I started dating. We celebrated Thanksgiving together in Atlanta along with Eric's Mom, and afterwards, Sydney and I exchanged phone numbers. We quickly bonded over a shared love of sports, Chipotle, country music, Sydney's shoe collection, silly TV shows, and much more. We became closer after staying together on a long weekend trip to Chicago. Sydney, Eric's Mom, and I cheered Eric on during the Chicago Marathon and chased him all over the city using public transit! It wasn't easy eating donuts while watching all of the marathoners run, but we did it. I'm excited to become official sisters and to have Sydney stand with us on our wedding day.
Groomsman and Brother of the Bride
I met Kevin, Nicole’s twin brother, at the Atlanta Airport dog park during his brief layover. It was our first meeting, but the main attraction was our golden retriever puppy. I knew from the way Nicole talked about him that he was important to her. We live across the country from each other, Utah vs Georgia, but we have been able to spend some time together in North Carolina and his soon-to-be home state, Florida. On holiday at the Smith house in N.C., we bonded over Atlanta Braves baseball and walking around Duke University's campus (his favorite school). When we went to Amelia Island for a family vacation, we were working out at the gym together and he asked me point blank if I was going to marry his sister. The answer was easy, yes. I am excited to gain a brother and to have Kevin stand with me as I marry Nicole.
Bridesmaid
Katherine (not to be confused with her twin sister, Kari) and I were suite mates with 11 other girls during our first year of college, and then we became roommates the following year. To this day, we still call each other "roomies," even though our respective fiancés have since taken that spot. It's okay though, because we all have a plan to live together in row houses on the same street when we're older. We spent our college days studying, partying, celebrating every birthday, and eating as many meals together as possible. Since then, we've visited each other in Boston, D.C., Atlanta, and Charlottesville reunions. Katherine is such a kind friend and a beautiful bride to be as well. I wouldn't want to share my special day or my wedding year with anyone else.
Groomsman
I met Clay at an Atlanta Braves game tailgate during the summer of 2013. I learned that we both graduated from Auburn with our civil engineering degrees and that he was a big Braves baseball fan. From there, our friendship grew and we’ve been great friends ever since. Over the years, we lived together on the Beltline, went to the night NASCAR Race at Bristol, and spent many nights out on the town. Clay is the type of friend everyone wants - he knows how to build you up, how to lighten up a situation, and how to shoot it straight when you need to hear it. He now lives in Birmingham, Alabama, but we have remained close friends and I cannot imagine marrying Nicole without him standing next to me.
Bridesmaid
Kari (not to be confused with her twin sister, Katherine) is one of my UVa best friends. Kari lives in Washington D.C. and works in international affairs, but I am currently on a 5-year mission to get her to move down to Atlanta. Over the last 15 years, we have countless memories together from UVa sports games, 4th year beach trip, birthday festivities in Richmond, adventures around DC, and good times in Atlanta. She surprised me by coming to celebrate our engagement weekend with us in northern Georgia. Kari is one of the most positive, supportive, and hardcore people that I know - not to mention an amazing friend, marathoner, and globetrotter. Our wedding party wouldn't be complete without her, and I'm grateful to have her there as I marry Eric.
Groomsman
I met Charlie in elementary school. He was that kid who would catch lizards and chase other kids around the playground with it. We played little league baseball together, and we even worked a few baseball summer camps. From middle school to high school, we went on family vacations together to Englewood Beach, where we did everything from shrimping off the fishing pier, to deep sea fishing, to playing cards all night. His Dad was one of my baseball coaches, and his Mom worked with my Mom. We ended up at different colleges and later in different cities - Charlie in our hometown, Winter Park, and me in Atlanta. I always text Charlie when I come back to Winter Park, because if there is one person I want to see in my hometown, it is him. Charlie is my oldest friend, and it would be weird if he wasn't standing next to me on my wedding day.
