Our favorite pizza in Tulsa is sold here out of a food truck - The Tortoise. Nothing's Left is a great place to hang out outside on the patio, grab drinks (they have fun ones), and play games. Check out the collection of games they have available for guests upstairs.
Located just north of Midtown, Cherry Street is one of Tulsa’s most vibrant and beloved districts. A true foodie’s playground, it’s home to around 20 restaurants — many of them locally owned — offering everything from casual brunch spots to lively dinner destinations. Erin recommends Roosevelt's!
We took our engagement pictures in the gardens. The Philbrook Museum of Art is a renowned cultural institution housed in the former 1920s Italian Renaissance-style villa of oil pioneer Waite Phillips. Opened in 1939, it features a 16,000+ object collection, specializing in Native American, American, and European art, surrounded by 25 acres of formal, manicured gardens.
Gathering Place is a 66.5 acres park along the Arkansas River. It is open to the public free of charge and includes a café, indoor and outdoor lounge spaces, public restrooms, picnic tables, playgrounds, and free kayak/pedal boat rides in the summer.
The so-called Center of the Universe is an acoustic phenomenon marked by a small concrete circle in the middle of a larger circle of bricks. If you stand in the middle of the circle and make a noise, the sound is echoed back several times louder than it was made, but only for the individual standing within the circle's roughly eight-foot diameter. It becomes a private amplified echo chamber, and those outside the circle can't hear the effects. Its not much to look at, but it is cool!
