Ferry Reservations

Summer Vehicle Reservations open at 10 AM Pacific time on Tuesday, April 22th! When viewing ferry routes, please be sure you choose Anacortes to Friday Harbor. Please note that the WA Ferries Reservation Website tends to be very slow right after the release time. To make the process smoother, we recommend setting up your online account in advance. Be sure to save your credit card information to make booking faster and easier.

Lodging in Friday Harbor

We do not have a hotel block and instead welcome you to choose lodging most exciting to you! There are a variety of AirBnbs, hotels, and B&Bs nearby. We have included a few recommendations that are near our venue, Saltwater Farm.

SeaTac International Airport

SeaTac is the largest airport in the area. Please note, the Anacortes ferry terminal is located about 2 hours north of SeaTac airport.

Bellingham airport is a much smaller airport located just an hour out from the Anacortes ferry terminal. This airport may have fewer flight options.

Friday Harbor Seaplanes

Feeling adventurous? Friday Harbor Seaplanes is a unique way to get to the island and see Western Washington and the San Juan Islands from the sky. The summer schedule offers multiple daily scheduled flights from South Lake Washington to San Juan Island. Friday Harbor Seaplanes is a quick 15 minutes from SeaTac Airport with complimentary shuttle service. This route is under an hour and does not require car rental or the ferry system.

Friday Harbor Ferry (with car)

Travel to Friday Harbor in the San Juan Islands requires travel by ferry. The most direct route is Anacortes - Friday Harbor. There are options for drive-on (vehicle) and walk-on (passengers only). The ferry ride is a scenic experience, taking around an hour port to port. Food and beverages are available on the ferry. We recommend grabbing a bite in Anacortes prior to departure to enjoy the area. See our recommendations page for more! For drive-on ferry travelers, please ensure you make a vehicle reservation AND purchase tickets. Please make your reservations in advance as the popular travel times fill up very quickly. Plan to arrive at the terminal at least 1hr prior to departure. Vehicle reservations open in three phases starting two months prior to sailing due to an increase in travel over the summer months. More information is available via WSDOT. Please try to book your ferry tickets 2 months prior to travel to ensure you are able to secure your ticket. Travel to Friday Harbor in the San Juan Islands requires travel by ferry. The most direct route is Anacortes - Friday Harbor. There are options for drive-on (vehicle) and walk-on (passengers only). The ferry ride is a scenic experience, taking around an hour port to port. Food and beverages are available on the ferry. We recommend grabbing a bite in Anacortes prior to departure to enjoy the area. See our recommendations page for more! Walk-on passengers are able to purchase tickets online or onsite prior to travel. There is paid parking available at the Anacortes port. We recommend arriving early to ensure you're able to get a parking spot. Most accommodations downtown are a short walk from the ferry terminal. Please see transportation options for getting to your accommodation and around the island. Please note: Uber and Lyft are not available on the island and there are a limited number of shuttle and taxi services. Please reach out directly if you have any questions!

Earthbox Inn offers dog-friendly rooms and is located 4 blocks from the Friday Harbor ferry port. We will provide shuttle service from Earthbox Inn to the Saltwater Farm venue for Saturday's ceremony and reception.

Saltwater Farm at Friday Harbor - Airstreams

The Airstreams are located on the northwestern slope of a ridge with beautiful filtered forest views of San Juan Valley. Each is fully equipped with a kitchenette (microwave, fridge/freezer, cook top, and sink), bathroom with shower, AC/Heat, and cozy living area and located 3-5 minutes walk from the Event Barn. The Airstreams require a three-night minimum and are limited to 2 adults each. If you are interested in booking an Airstream on the venue site, please reach out by April 1st.

Up for sleeping under the stars?

If you are interested in camping for the weekend, our venue, Saltwater Farm, offers complimentary camping space onsite for 12-15 tent spots. Campers have access to two heated outdoor showers and potable water faucet at the nearby pumphouse, and two restrooms at the Barn. Please note that parking for all camping guests is at the Event Parking lot. The Campsite itself is walk-in only. Campers with vans or RVs up to 20’ in length may park in the Event Parking Lot overnight and have access to these same facilities. The venue does not have RV hookups, and no generators are allowed.

A trolley will be provided from downtown (meeting outside Earthbox Inn) to the venue. The first trolley will pickup at 3:20pm and the last trolley before the event is 3:40pm. Trolley service back from the reception to downtown and hotels will start at 8:30pm and continue every 30 minutes through 11:30pm. Parking is available at the venue for those who prefer to drive in Event Parking.
