Parents of the Bride
Christina has been blessed with supportive, loving parents who have been her rock throughout her life. Jim & Talma recently celebrated 30 years of marriage in their long-time home of Ventura, California! Their love has set a beautiful example for Christina throughout her upbringing. Jim is a true family man with a strong Christian faith. He's a true jack of all trades, but his favorite hobbies include fishing, boating, building, & 3D printing! Christina is grateful to have inherited Jim's work ethic, honesty, humor, & wisdom. Talma has an exceptionally kind heart & nurturing soul. Her love defined Christina's childhood & filled the family home. Christina is appreciative that her mom encouraged her hobbies, letting the kids make a mess in the kitchen (& who knows where else) so we could learn skills like cooking, gardening, music, & more. Talma loves reading, history, her community garden, animals, & more!
Mother of the Groom
Enoch credits his emotional awareness, strength, & independence to his mother's influence in his life. As a mother to a mixed-race child, Joyce devoted her life to educating herself & others about the oneness of all people. Enoch is deeply appreciative of the challenges Joyce faced in raising three children as a single parent and wants to thank her for teaching him how to always do the best that he can do in all walks of life. In the past few years, Joyce & Christina have also built a strong relationship. Christina feels blessed to be Joyce's third daughter and looks forward to continuing to strengthen their bond.
Sister of the Groom
Enoch & Janet share a lifetime of memories, from growing up in Saint Louis, coming of age in Chicago, and living together in Seattle and Los Angeles. Janet has always been there to support Enoch when he needed it most - as a mother, a sister, a confidant, & a friend. Christina is very excited to have Janet as her new sister & strives to one day be as cool as Janet.
Best Man
Kyle & Enoch are long-time friends and business partners. They've traveled the world together, partnered in several business ventures, & supported each other through many of life's challenges. It's rare to find a friendship where both partners work together tirelessly to bring each other up, & Enoch is grateful to have found that friend in Kyle.
Maid of Honor
Ivelisse is Christina's best friend from UCLA & forevermore. Originating from Peruvian royalty, Ivelisse always brings spice & flair to any situation. She is truly the "Christina whisperer", somehow understanding her better than almost anyone else. After serving five years as a policymaker in the U.S. House of Representatives, Ivelisse is now Director of Government Affairs for a well-respected strategic advisory firm in Washington, DC. Christina is confident that no matter how accomplished Ivelisse becomes, she will always have Christina's back (and vice versa!)
Groomsman
Brandon is Enoch’s brother, in spirit and in-law. Brandon has always been incredibly supportive to Enoch, even taking Enoch under his wing & inviting him to move across the country to start over together during one of the most challenging seasons of their lives. Enoch credits Brandon with teaching him how to be successful while truly embracing the personality traits that make Enoch who he is.
Sister of the Bride
Christina is lucky to have grown up with a best friend - her sister Bethany. Bethany always included Christina, letting her crash parties & join Bethany's group of friends, even when she was being an annoying little sister! Bethany is a skillful artist - her talents include professional graphic design, advanced classical piano, culinary art, & more. She currently lives in Arizona with her fiancé Eliud & their many animals!
Honorary Bridesmaid
Pamela is a kind & artistic soul, beautiful on the inside and out. Christina & Pamela first met through Pamela’s husband Arno Shivarjoo, Christina’s good friend from UCLA. Christina is honored to have been present for some of the biggest moments in Pamela & Arno’s lives, including as a bridesmaid in their wedding and to celebrate Pamela’s pregnancy with their first daughter. Pamela and Arno are expecting their baby girl early this June!
