Best Man
If you and the groom were stuck on a deserted island, why would he be an asset? "If Stetson and I were stuck on an island, what would make Stets an asset is first, his intelligence. He is an Engineer and I'm sure he'd throw us up a structurally sound shelter and we'd be out of the weather in no time. Second, he would never give up, nor let me give up being rescued. I don't know anyone who is more positive and driven than Stetson. Surviving on an island would just be seen as another challenge for him and there isn't many others I'd rather be stuck on an island with."
Maid of Honor
If the bride were an animal, what would she be and why? "If Emma were an animal she would be a lioness. She loves and protects her circle so fiercely, and will do whatever she needs to protect what she has and get what she wants! It's also her favorite animal since forever and I can see why, it's a perfect reflection of herself."
Groomsman
Describe the groom in three words. "Inspiring. Hard. Working."
Bridesmaid
What makes your friendship with the bride special? "We've been friends since the first grade and stayed friends when we were thousands of miles away from each other... you can't really replace someone who has been through every stage of life with you."
Groomsman
What is one piece of advice you have for the bride and groom? "Travel as much as possible and document the various places and adventures you have, these moments will be very helpful to reflect on after you have kids and can't afford to."
Bridesmaid
If you and the bride were stuck on a deserted island, why would she be an asset? "She would have a good attitude about the situation all things considered, and would immediately get to figuring out what we can use to fashion some type of thing to help us survive! And she would probably figure out how to find some grapes or hops on the island to make alcohol so we don't die of thirst (; she would be determined that we would get off and everything would be okay, and if all else failed, she would be a great companion to talk with under the island sky."
Groomsman
What makes your friendship with the groom special? "I remember when Stetson first showed up here from Alaska. He got sent straight to football practice and we hit it off right away. Back when we were young, we both played split backs and we were a great team. Over the years we stayed very close throughout high school and even when he went away to play football in college. Nothing ever changed between us though. I would either go see him in Ellensburg or he would come back to town and catch up with me. He has been my best friend since we met that day at football practice and I hope that never changes. No matter how long it has been since I have seen him, when we meet up it's like it's only been a day and we start right back up where we left off."
Bridesmaid
What is your favorite memory with the bride? "There's so many, but one of my first and favorites is sneaking into a corn maze in the middle of the night, drinking wine on a dock on the river, and jumping on my horse bareback in the pasture... And that was just a Tuesday!"
Groomsman
What memory fo you have of the groom that always makes you laugh? "I lived with Stetson for 4-5 years at 'The Reserve' in Bellevue. Stetson is quite a unique person. He's got a motor that doesn't stop. He typically puts that motor to good use i.e. professional career, friendships, projects, etc. But one particular evening his motor had him partying and not wanting to stop. I had called it a night (shocking) and was in bed. Stetson wanted to keep partying so bad that after multiple attempts at trying to pick my lock and break in through my window from the roof he finally came blasting through the doorway having broke the door frame right off the wall. Anyways, the following day running on little to no sleep and likely brutally hungover Stetson had the door frame fixed like new."
Bridesmaid
What is one piece of advice you have for the bride and groom? "Communication and honesty go a long way! Never stop having fun together and eat as much ice cream as you want!"
Groomsman
If the groom were a tool, what would he be and why? "Swiss Army Knife because he's always prepared/knows how to do everything. Stetson figured out how to rig up a system for us to have a full computer setup, Xbox for Halo and internet... in a tent in a park... in 2001... before the existence of wifi."
Bridesmaid
What is the bride's best quality? "Emma has so many great qualities but the one that’s always stood out to me is her thoughtfulness! You can always count on Emma to think of a special detail that will make someone smile. She is always considering the needs of everyone around her which makes her SUCH a great friend. She brings that same thoughtfulness to all of her relationships, and especially with Stets! Like when he passed his engineering exam and she had “smarty” candies and a card waiting for him! Always bringing that positive love. I’m so excited to watch you guys get married! Stetson is one lucky man!"
Groomsman
What makes your friendship with the groom special? "Because I look up to Stetson and can rely on him for advice and guidance when it's needed most."
Bridesmaid
What is the bride's best quality? "Emma is so good at making you feel loved and cared about. She’s always thinking about how she can make other people smile or feel special. She’s the best friend."
Groomsman
When were you most impressed by the groom? "When he carried a can of raviolis, his snowboard, snowboard boots, and 6 beers summating Mt Adams."
Bridesmaid
Describe the bride in three words. "Genuine. Adventurous. Loyal."
Officiant
Why did you agree to marry Emma and Stetson? "I agreed to marry you two because the two of you are an absolutely amazing couple and it is a huge honor to be chosen to lead the ceremony for a couple that I look up to."
