The comedian of the family, Caroline knows how to entertain those around her. From singing musical soundtracks in the car, to attending the same arts high school and college, Caroline and Emma have been each other's duet partners from the beginning. From sharing bunk beds as kids to supporting one another while living across the world from each other, Caroline has been there since day one.
Kathleen Doerkson
Bridesmaid
Emma and Kathleen met while attending Randolph College for the Performing Arts in Toronto, and bonded while cast in their final school shows, Lord of the Flies and Into the Woods. The two of them shared many laughs together as they attended auditions in Toronto, including a few for Disney Cruise Line. Like Emma, Kathleen is also a huge Disney fan.
Dana Hamstra
Bridesmaid
Dana has been one of Emma's best friends for over 10 years. Dana and Emma met while attending Sheridan College, and bonded over their love for the ballet. Over the years, they've lived together as roommates, travelled to Disney, and been in each other's weddings. Fun fact: Dana will be making Emma and Matt's wedding cake!
Jade Pinkerton
Bridesmaid
Jade and Emma have known each other since high school, but became closer friends while attending Randolph College for the Performing Arts. They were even cast together as the lovable cow, Milky White, in one of their final shows at Randolph, Into the Woods. From early morning dance classes as students, to nights filled with wine and a good "Friends" binge, Jade has been there for everything.
Ryan Jokiel
Best Man
Brother of the groom, Ryan would describe himself as the more handsome, funnier Jokiel sibling. Since ‘97 Ryan has been by Matt’s side through it all. From countless family vacations, to overly competitive after school ping pong, to late night karaoke nights at the pub, Ryan has been there every step of the way.
Matt Stechyson
Groomsman
Best known as “Stech,” these two have been friends as long as Matt can remember. First as teammates in hockey, to best buds in high school, and roommates at university, Stech has always been there by Matt’s side. From travelling to Europe in high school and again in 2018, living together on three separate occasions, and all the pub nights in between, there are countless stories in the vault. P.S. Perhaps most importantly, he played a huge role in Emma and Matt meeting - thanks Stech!
Matt Wiechers
Groomsman
Soon-to-be brother in law of the groom and the youngest of the three Wiechers siblings, “Wiechs” is the third and final Matt of the bunch. Making his way from Tennessee, Matt brings some contrast to the otherwise all-Ottawa cast of groomsmen. If you’re a Bills fan or want to chat lacrosse, he’s your guy!
