Luke had been applying for many jobs in the months leading up to his college graduation. After not hearing from his current company, CSC, for 2 weeks after applying, he reached out directly to the hiring manager. She got back to him the next day and that's where he currently works as event manager in Des Moines, Iowa. Emma, being a rising senior at Drake University, wanted an internship to occupy her summer and build her resume, also applied to work for CSC. Luke, Emma, and the other new event mangers/interns all shared the same start date. After the first couple weeks of not interacting much, there was some downtime at an event they were both working. Noticing the phrase "Jesus Te Ama" on Emma's water bottle in the office, Luke asked if she was a Christian. Of course, Emma said yes and knowing he had just moved halfway across the country to Iowa, she invited him to church. After going to church together twice, they started hanging out outside of church and work. Eventually, if it wasn't obvious, they formed an intense love for each other and are (definitely not) patiently waiting to get married in June.
