Maid of Honor
Thank goodness for alphabetical seating. Katie and Emma had three classes together during sophomore year at North Central and were seated next to each other in each one. Seemingly the same person, they clicked pretty instantly. They've remained best friends while attending rival universities, during cross-country moves, and multiple stints abroad. Katie is currently in medical school and will graduate in Spring 2023. She has taught English in Taiwan, she is a leader for Best Buddies, and she has a penchant for Hallmark Holiday movies.
Sedrick Scott
Best Man
Sedrick warmly welcomed Jonah and Emma to New Orleans during their first weekend in the city. Soon after he introduced the couple to his partner, Kyle, and the Coughlin sisters, Jordan and Paige. It is hard to imagine what life in New Orleans would be like without Sedrick and the little group. Sedrick is a dog dad, a shoulder to lean on, and the life of the party. He loves flowers, a fancy mixed drink, and beating Jonah at tennis.
Maggie Crady
Sister of the Bride
Maggie is a creator, science writer, and producer. Emma has done her best to smother her with love since she figured out how to crawl into Maggie's crib, and Maggie has almost always taken it well. She is a great baker, a solid cat co-parent, and is quick with a joke or sarcastic comment. Maggie currently works in Bloomington, Indiana on different TV projects; one day we'll see her name in the credits for our favorite shows and movies!
Kyle Newhard
Groomsman
Jonah and Kyle have been friends since high school. They took Japanese together and even took a trip to Japan. Being overwhelmed in a foreign country and getting slightly lost more than once cemented their bond. Kyle has been a solid friend over the years. He is funny, caring, and all-around a sweet guy. Kyle is a history buff and burgeoning collector of antique firearms. He lives in Valparaiso, Indiana with his cat, Ghost.
Ella Simon
Almost-Sister of the Bride (also Jonah's Sister)
The first time they met, Emma offered to send Ella an application to work in the same lab. Thank goodness Ella didn't think that was weird. Ella lives in Seattle and enjoys mountain life with her partner, Cody, their cat Maggie, and their dog-baby Huey. She is a generous, kind, and adventurous gal. She is a big fan of the outdoors and drinking wine; ideally both at the same time.
Percy Simon
Good Boy
Who's a good boy? If he behaves he might be the ring bearer. More likely he'll just look adorable on the big day.
