Maid of Honor
Deanna and Emma have been best friends since 2009, shortly after Deanna moved to Osler from Abbotsford, BC. In their 15+ years of friendship, they have travelled to Europe together, graduated high school together, went through university together, and have been by each other’s sides through everything life has thrown at them! Emma was Deanna’s maid of honour when she married her husband, Holden, in 2021, and is so excited to have Deanna by her side on her wedding day. Deanna lives in Warman with Holden and their Bernese mountain dog, Aspen, and works as a senior analyst at TD.
Nicholas Friesen
Best Man
Nick is Connor's oldest brother. Growing up Nick spent a lot of his time teaching Connor how to play many different video games and trying to convince him to get him snacks at his convenience. Once Connor got older they began to spend a lot of time going to the gym together and becoming way too hyperfocused on all kinds of different things. Nick and his partner Chelsey have been a part of Connor’s life for a very long time. Nick and Chelsey also have a dog named Shako, Pippin's best friend.
Hannah Mitchell
Bridesmaid
Emma has known Hannah since Hannah’s birth in 2002. Growing up, the sisters loved to fight over cleaning their shared room and over Hannah forcing Emma to play games she felt too old for, but the two grew closer as teenagers and spent their nights chatting in their doorways, never wanting to say goodnight. Hannah lives with her fiancé, Logan in Saskatoon (Emma will be a bridesmaid at their wedding next year!) and is an emergency room nurse at Royal University Hospital.
Brandon Friesen
Best Man
Brandon is another one of Connor’s older brothers. Growing up you could always find Connor and Brandon teaming up to try and bring down in either wrestling, gaming or any other kind of competition they had created when they were most bored. Brandon spends his time playing video games, Connor would even say he is unmatched in his knowledge of all types of games and their worlds. Brandon lives with his partner Lira in Saskatoon.
Kaitlin Kolbe
Bridesmaid
Kaitlin and Emma met without knowing it in elementary school, but became friends one fateful night at Shekinah in 2016. The two went through undergrad together, lived together for a year in university, and are known to send streams of consciousness to each other all day, every day in their group chat with Jadyn. Kaitlin is a speech language pathologist and lives in Saskatoon with her boyfriend, Liam, and their cats, Freddie and Bo.
Graham Forrester
Groomsman
Connor and Graham met at Shekinah as summer campers when they were kids. Connor and Graham grew up playing club volleyball together for many years and eventually both attended RJC together where they truly became close friends. Connor and Graham now spend a lot of their time together golfing and discussing countless different reality TV shows. Graham and his wife Robyn are close friends of Emma and Connor and have just returned from a nearly one year long trip around the entire world! Ask them about it, they have the best stories.
Jadyn Lennea
Bridesmaid
Jadyn and Emma also became friends at Shekinah one fateful night in 2016. They stayed the best of friends after Jadyn moved to Winnipeg for her undergraduate degree, and lived together for three years when Jadyn returned to Saskatoon for med school in 2021! Jadyn is an internal medicine resident and lives with her boyfriend, John and their cat, Phoebe in Saskatoon.
Brock Zakreski
Groomsman
Connor and Brock met when Connor moved to RJC in Grade 11. Some of Connor’s friends told him before he even went to RJC for the first time that him and Brock were going to be great friends. Fast forward to now I think they were right… Connor and Brock also spend a lot of time golfing together and usually end up trying to bother Graham as much as possible when the 3 of them spend time together. Brock and his wife Emily are both great friends of Emma and Connor.
