In 2014, Emma and Connor attended Shekinah Retreat Centre for a week of camp, where we would meet for the first time. We developed a friendship when volunteering at Shekinah together, eventually working together as counsellors in 2017. From 2017 to 2021, Emma and Connor remained friends via a very long Snapchat streak, occasionally flirting and seeing each other at group events and over Jake’s Burger. In July 2021, after Emma and Connor both moved to Saskatoon from Osler and Wakaw, Connor asked Emma if she wanted to go on a “real date.” Emma suggested grabbing sushi that weekend, and the rest was history. We quickly made it official and started working towards building a life together. We got engaged on our fourth anniversary on a hike at Shekinah, where we first met. We are excited to share our love with all of the most important people in our lives at our wedding!
