Travel, transportation, and hotels

We are so grateful you’re making the trip to celebrate with us in beautiful Vail, Colorado. Below you'll find helpful information on how to get to Vail, local transportation options, and parking details for the ceremony and reception.

Flight

Denver International Airport

Denver International Airport (DIA) is located approximately 30 minutes from downtown Denver and about a two-hour drive from Vail. You may also fly into Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE), just 30 minutes from Vail, with convenient shuttle and rental car options.

Travel Note

Transportation

Getting to Vail • By Car: Vail is a beautiful, two-hour drive from Denver International Airport (DIA). If you’re planning to rent a vehicle, major rental car companies like Enterprise, Hertz, and Avis are available at the airport. • By Shuttle: For those who prefer not to drive, shuttle services from DIA to Vail are a convenient option. We recommend: Summit Express – https://www.summitexpress.com/scheduled-shuttle-service/denver-airport-shuttle-service-to-vail/fall-vail-airport-shuttle-schedule/ or Epic Mountain Express – https://www.epicmountainexpress.com/?https://www.epicmountainexpress.com/best-shuttle-sale • While in Vail: Vail Mountain and its two main villages—Vail Village and Lionshead—make up a charming, walkable town. Most hotels, shops, restaurants, and both the chapel and the pavilion are within easy walking distance or reachable via the free in-town shuttle. If you're staying in Vail proper, a car isn’t necessary. If you plan to explore areas like East Vail, West Vail, or Eagle—or hike outside of town—consider renting a car. The Nuptial Mass Parking is available at the Vail Village Parking Garage (241 S Frontage Rd E), about a 10-minute walk through the village to the chapel. Parking is approximately $10. More info: https://www.vail.gov/government/departments/transportation-services/parking-information The Reception Kindly note that transportation will not be provided between the ceremony and reception. Guests may choose: • By Bus (Free): The West Vail Green Loop Bus runs from Vail Village to the Matterhorn stop, a 5-minute walk to Donovan Pavilion. The bus operates until midnight. Bus info: https://ride.vail.gov/map • By Car: Free parking is available on-site at Donovan Pavilion. • On Foot: The scenic Gore Creek Trail connects Vail Village and Lionshead to Donovan Pavilion. The walk is about 2 miles (40 minutes) along the river with beautiful views.
