The heart of Vail, this charming alpine village is the larger of the two main pedestrian areas (the other being Lionshead). Modeled after traditional Swiss mountain towns, Vail Village is full of European-inspired architecture, cobblestone pathways, and picturesque charm. It's the perfect place to stroll, shop, or grab a coffee. You'll find everything from cozy cafés and gourmet restaurants to boutique shops, art galleries, and live music.
Just a short walk or shuttle ride from Vail Village, Lionshead offers its own unique charm. Also modeled after European alpine towns, this picturesque village is completely pedestrian-friendly and full of cozy nooks to explore. You’ll find inviting cafés, boutique shopping, and gorgeous mountain views, all nestled beneath the Eagle Bahn Gondola. And don’t miss Rimini Gelato & Chocolate—Emma’s personal favorite spot in all of Vail.
Vail offers a variety of scenic trails for all levels—whether you're looking for a relaxing walk or a more active mountain hike. Gore Creek Path: an easy, paved trail that winds along the creek between Vail Village and Lionshead. Great for a peaceful stroll or bike ride. Booth Falls Trail: a moderate hike just east of Vail Village, leading to a beautiful waterfall. About 4 miles round trip with great views along the way. Berry Picker Trail: a local favorite that climbs from Lionshead to Eagle’s Nest. This moderately challenging trail features wildflowers, aspen groves, and sweeping mountain views.
These stunning botanical gardens are the highest elevation gardens in North America!
