Question

Sooo y’all know Coronavirus is still out here, and you’re having a wedding?

Answer

After deciding in April to move our wedding date from September 2, 2020 to May 30, 2021, we have contemplated what do to since the coronavirus pandemic has continued to be a prevalent issue in 2021. We have decided to make some limits to our guest list (such as eliminating plus ones) and to implement as many Covid precautions as possible, in addition we are offering a virtual option (you have been invited to a Facebook group). Please see the other questions below addressing Covid-19 below and PLEASE come to us with any and all questions!

Question

What kind of precautions are you taking?

Answer

Masks will be provided, sanitizing stations will be available. Our ceremony will be outdoors with chairs spaced further apart, masks will be required. Our cocktail hour will be outdoors with self-serve hors d’oeuvres. Dinner seating will allow guests to sit with their households and travel companions. The reception will have indoor and outdoor activities. Guests are welcome to attend only the ceremony, reception and/or leave whenever they wish in order to limit their exposure.

Question

What COVID precautions should I take leading up to your wedding so I can #StopTheSpread ?

Answer

Please mask up!! Wearing a mask is not full-proof but it is one of the easiest and most widely used precautions we can take! Please limit your exposure as much as possible the week before our wedding. We are by no means asking you to alter your entire life, ditch work and not go on your morning walks around the neighborhood. However, some simple things like wearing a mask, using sanitizer and limiting your travel can be helpful. Maybe you have some cool dinner recipes you’ve been wanting to try? So instead of going out to eat, you can stock your fridge the week before, save some money and eat your meals at home.

Question

Are you asking people to get tested before coming to your wedding?

Answer

Please do! If possible, please get vaccinated. Not everyone can vaccinate due to allergies, some medical conditions, and limited availability, so if you can, please do! You’ll be helping yourself and the rest of us in the process! If you can’t get vaccinated get tested! Based on CDC guidelines, we recommend you limit your exposure AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE for a week prior, and get tested 2-3 days before, using a PCR (1-3 day) test! (PCR tests are more accurate than rapid tests)

Question

I love taking pictures and want to have pictures of the whole day, is that okay?

Answer

We will be having an unplugged ceremony. Our photographer, videographer and us have agreed that they will get lots of photos and footage of the ceremony which we will be sure to share with you! At the reception feel free to take as many pictures and videos as you would like!

Question

How can we share pictures and videos with you and all the wedding guests?

Answer

We would love for everyone to download the app called The Guest! The Guest will allow us all the upload and download pictures and videos throughout the event. This app is compatible with both iOS and Android.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Semi-Formal: Long dresses are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses. There will be lots of opportunities to be outside including the ceremony so wedges or block heels are recommended for those wanting to wear heels.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Oh la la. We are delighted to have our closest family and friends with us on this special day! In order to spend more time with you all, and limit our guest list as a COVID precaution, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited by name (or family for kids) on your wedding invitation. Please feel free to text or call us with any questions!

Question

Will you be upset if I don’t come to your wedding because of COVID?

Answer

Absolutely not! While we will miss your presence we totally understand the unpredictable times we are in! We are offering a virtual option (via Facebook stream) for those interested. Please do not feel pressured to take risks that make you uncomfortable in order to accommodate our wedding. We will all find our way to be together soon one way or another!

For all the days along the way
