How We Met

Once Upon A Time... There was a girl, named Emily Elizabeth. Emily Elizabeth was just about to start her first year of college. Before college, she was in band in school. So, she decided she would continue and join the Southern Pride Marching Band at Georgia Southern University. The week before school started, all the members of the band practiced together everyday during a tradition called band camp. Some days, EE went to band camp by car with her new friend Andrew. One day, when EE was getting in Andrew’s car, there was a car was full of people and she saw people she did not recognize. One boy seemed rather quiet, which she learned to be false, his name was Alex. Another boy was more outgoing, his name was Robert. While riding in the car the one boy, Robert, kept making jokes and making everyone laugh. EE always loved to laugh. She was taken by him that very first time they met. Every year, Southern Pride was said to host a magnificent ball to celebrate the end of band camp. Robert and Emily Elizabeth said they would meet at the ball, and they did. The ball was magnificent. There were many band kids, new and old. They all had a merry time, laughing, dancing and meeting new people. Robert and EE especially loved getting to know one another. They even danced and shared their first, most magical kiss. But the clock struck midnight, and they all had to leave. Before they left, Robert told EE what a great night it had been. EE said she agreed. And of course, EE being the strong, independent woman that she is, also said they should take things slow. For who falls in love after just one dance? Yet, as fairytales go, they decided just weeks later to join together as a couple. After nearly 6 years their hearts were always for each other, no matter if they were together, a state, or a continent apart. And as Robert was just about to graduate with his 2nd degree he asked Emily Elizabeth to marry him! Now, please join us at the celebration of our Happily Ever After!
