We have chosen our hotel blocks to provide easy access to the beach, the bus and the hustle and bustle of Chicago! If our downtown room blocks do not meet your needs (or if you are not a Marriott loyalist like the bride) here are a few other hotels in the area: The Drake (Hilton) Claridge House (Hilton) The Thompson (Hyatt) If you have additional questions or would like recommendations on other neighborhoods and Airbnb options please reach out to the bride and groom.

Flight

Chicago Midway (MDW) or Chicago O'Hare (ORD)

Both O’Hare and Midway Airports have multiple transportation options. Uber/Lyft and Taxi are both available at each airport. Additionally, you can use public transportation, taking Chicago’s “L” trains downtown directly from each airport (“L” is slang for Elevated Train, since most of Chicago’s train lines are above ground). Midway -> Orange Line to the into Stake & Lake (approx. 33 minute ride). O’Hare -> Blue Line to the Washington stop (approx. 42 minute ride) If you are staying at either of our hotel blocks in Gold Coast transfer from the L to the 151 or 146 bus to continue your ride to the hotel. **Note: there is only one L line heading one direction at each airport, so it is impossible to get on the wrong train when you are heading out for your return flight!
