Many of our guests are traveling from out of town and are making a vacation out of their trip! We've compiled a list of our favorite things to do and best places to go. ***Restaurant reservations are very difficult during peak season/August. We strongly encourage you to make them as early as possible***

Grumpy's: A must. Get a fowl burger and schooner. You won't regret it. Lefty's Bar and Grill: Killer patio, chill local vibe. Great burgers, beer and fries. A Baer/Denny fav. The Warfield Brewery: Awesome roof deck with a view of Baldy. Good vibes and brews, deep fried pub grub food Sawtooth Brewery: Craft beer and better-than-bar food. Located across from Hotel Ketchum. Whiskey Jaques: Classic SV bar where we'll host Welcome Drinks! Lively music and dancing. The Casino: Just the diviest bar you've ever seen. Brews only. Duchin Room at the Sun Valley Lodge: For the old folks. Beautiful room, nice patio, fancy cocktails (and pricey to boot). Barrio75: Insanely good tacos and over 40 tequilas. What else is there to know? Located next to Hotel Ketchum.

Java: The best coffee shop in town. A Baer family fav. Coffee, breakfast and lunch. Starbucks: You know. 5B Fruit: The BEST organic smoothies, fruit bowls, and toast. Ginger Sweet Juice Bar: Organic cold pressed juice bar. The Kneadery: Big, traditional, diner-style breakfasts. Bigwood Bread: Freshly baked bread, sandwiches, salads. Simple and fresh. Cristina's: Chic, fresh cuisine. Pricey but worth it. This place screams brunch. Rasberry's: Local, organic lunch spot. The Haven: Just so good. Healthy eat in or take out. Open for lunch, and perfect for take-out dinner. Irving's Red Hots: A hotdog stand with damn good dogs. Baer fam fav.

Enoteca: Rustic, modern feel and Italian tapas fare. Reservation suggested. Sushi On Second: Surprisingly good sushi for a landlocked state. Rickshaw: Southeast Asian street food. Get the chaing mai noodles. Ketchum Grill: Sun Valley all the way. Cookbook: Popular new Italian spot. Reservation suggested. Michel Christiana's: A SV classic. LOVE sitting at the bar for dinner and drinks. Don't miss the Morel Chicken! Sun Valley Wine Company: Wine and apps only. Huge wine selection. Upstairs patio. Sawtooth: iconic apres ski vibe. Take the gondola to the Roundhouse for lunch and brews on the deck. From there, take the chairlift to the top for some seriously spectacular views.

Bald Mountain: Hard. 8 mi / 2000 ft. *Accessible by car*: Titus Lake: Easy. 3 mi / 650 ft. Chocolate Gulch: Moderate. 5 mi / 900 ft. Adams Gulch Trails: Moderate. 6 mi / 800 ft. Fox Creek Trails: Moderate. 5 mi / 800 ft. Taylor Canyon: Moderate. 4 mi / 1200 ft. Pioneer Cabin: Hard. 8 mi / 2500 ft. Unbelievable views, but too long for Friday or Saturday.

Rent bikes from Sturtevants in downtown Ketchum and follow the Sun Valley Bike Trail loop around town, through Elkhorn, Sun Valley and back to Ketchum. Adrenaline junkies can take their bikes up the gondola and mountain bike down Baldy. See link for rental info.

Located an hour from Sun Valley, you'll climb a steep mountain road that leads to one of the most beautiful lakes with crystal blue water, surrounded by snowcapped mountains. From there you can sit on the beach, eat lunch at the beachside cafe, or rent paddle boards, canoes and pontoons out on the lake. Without cell service, you'll truly feel off the grid.
