Is there a dress code?
Answer
Semi-formal or cocktail attire. Think suits and ties for men and cocktail dresses for the ladies. Colors and fun prints welcome! Comfort is key -- we highly recommend wedges, block heels or flat shoes. The ceremony is a 5-minute walk on a dusty dirt path and the ceremony and reception are on grass, so leave the stilettos at home. Galena Lodge is in the mountains and 10 degrees cooler than Sun Valley. We strongly encourage bringing a warm sweater or jacket as it cools down at night. Finally, we'll be at 7,000 ft elevation so make sure you hydrate!

Are kids invited?
Answer
Your invite will indicate who we have accommodated for on our wedding day, however everyone -- kids included -- is invited to the Welcome Party on Friday night. If you are in need of a babysitter on the night of the wedding, Sun Valley Super Sitters offers wonderful help. They have been serving the Wood River Valley, providing nannies, babysitters, and taking care of local and visiting families since 1996. https://www.sunvalleysupersitters.com/ As a reminder, there is no cell coverage at Galena. If there is an emergency, your sitter can call the Galena landline and ask to speak with Esther Williams who will go find you: 208-726-4010. Please limit use of this phone number to true emergencies. Guests can make outgoing calls using the Galena payphone.

Is there a shuttle to and from the ceremony?
Answer
Yes, Galena Lodge requests that all guests are shuttled to and from the venue. Shuttles will depart from the Limelight Hotel in downtown Ketchum promptly at 4:30pm, and will make return trips every half hour toward the end of the night. Please arrive at the Limelight Hotel no later than 4:15pm. See the Schedule of Events page for details and if you need to make alternative arrangements, please let us know.

How is the cell phone coverage at Galena?
Answer
There is no cell service at Galena, so plan on an unplugged evening. There is a pay phone so if you need to make a call, bring quarters! Emergency calls can be made from the lodge.

Please see the "Travel & Lodging" section of our website offering a variety of hotels with discounted rates . August is peak season in Sun Valley and there are double the weddings booked in 2021 so make your reservations asap.
