Villa Cimbrone Gardens
An 11th-Century villa that is located on a cliff edge, the villa offers famous views over the water, and is known to have the best view on the whole Amalfi coast! The beautiful gardens, filled with flowers, sculptures, and pergolas lead to a scenic view from their famous Terrazza Dell' Infinito. You can purchase a ticket for €10 at the entrance, which gives you access to the expansive garden and on-sight cafe.
Villa Rufolo
Built in the 13th century, Villa Rufolo was one of the largest villas on the Amalfi Coast. Wander through their beautiful gardens and enjoy the scenic views of the Amalfi coast from their terrace. You can see surrounding towns, like Minori and Maori from there. Purchase your ticket for €7 at the entrance to get access to the gardens and the Rufolo museum.
Villa Maria Cooking Class
Villa Maria is a charming family-run hotel and restaurant located in the heart of Ravello. In addition to staying at their hotel, you can also take part in their acclaimed cooking class! This class provides guests with the opportunity to learn traditional Italian cooking techniques and recipes using fresh, local ingredients right from their organic garden next door! Participants in the class typically learn how to prepare classic Amalfi Coast dishes, such as homemade pasta, seafood specialties, and desserts, all while learning more about the region's culinary traditions. Visit the Museo del Duomo
Built in 1086, the Duomo di Ravello—where our ceremony will take place—holds a rich history. Adjacent to the cathedral is a small museum showcasing religious artifacts, artwork, and historical pieces that offer insight into Ravello’s cultural and religious heritage. It’s a peaceful spot to explore the town’s history.

Ristorante Vittoria
Ristorante Vittoria serves traditional Italian dishes with a focus on fresh, local ingredients. If you're looking for a casual, quintessential Italian meal, look no further. Family-owned for generations, this was our favorite restaurant in Ravello! We were lucky enough to get a table by walking in, but we recommend putting your name in a few hours before dinner time.

Located at the Hotel Palazzo Avino, Rossellinis is a Michelin-starred restaurant known for its refined, gourmet cuisine. You can enjoy exceptional dishes while taking in the stunning views of the Mediterranean.
Trattoria Da Cumpa' Cosimo

Explore the Amalfi Coast
Ravello is a great starting point for exploring the Amalfi Coast due to its central location, offering easy access to nearby towns like Positano, Amalfi, Atrani, and Minori. It's an ideal base for relaxation after a day of sightseeing and is well-connected by bus, car, and boat to other Amalfi destinations. We're including some ideas for day trips below!
Atrani Walk
The Ravello-Atrani-Amalfi walk is a hike of about 3.4 km that allows you to walk the coast in 2 hours. The path is almost entirely downhill and develops along an ancient stone staircase, with short stretches of dirt road. Comfortable shoes and are a must! The walk passes through the towns of Torello and Atrani, passing through the iconic lemon terraces of the Amalfi Coast. Once in Amalfi, you can grab a bus or taxi back to Ravello (about a 45 minute drive). The blog linked below goes into detail on everything you need to know when planning this hike!
Visiting Amalfi
Amalfi’s dramatic streets, panoramic viewpoints, vibrant flowers, and views of the sea make it one of Italy’s most beautiful destinations. At the heart of Amalfi stands the stunning Duomo, rising grandly atop a long staircase (as with much of the town, access is often via steps). The cathedral features a geometric façade, striped columns, and a dome adorned with colorful Majolica tiles. Climb the stairs to explore the ancient bronze doors, the ornate crypt with its frescoes, and the tranquil Chiostro del Paradiso, a peaceful cloister with a beautiful garden.
Hike the Path of the Gods (Sentiero degli Dei)
For those looking to get their steps in ahead of the big day, hiking the Sentiero degli Dei is a must-do. This scenic trail offers dramatic views of the coastline and is one of the most famous hikes in the region. You can start the hike from Ravello or nearby towns like Bomerano. Visit Capri
To take a day trip to Capri from Ravello, first travel to Amalfi or Positano by bus or car (30 minutes to Amalfi, 1 hour to Positano). From either town, catch a ferry to Capri—about 50 minutes from Amalfi or 30 minutes from Positano. Once on Capri, visit iconic sites like the Blue Grotto, Villa Jovis, and the Piazzetta, or take the funicular to Capri Town. If you have time, explore the quieter Anacapri or ride the chairlift up Mount Solaro for panoramic views. After a few hours on the island, take a ferry back to Amalfi or Positano, and return to Ravello by bus or car.
Rent a Boat
To rent a boat from Ravello, you'll need to travel to a nearby port, either Amalfi or Minori, which are about 30 minutes and 10 minutes away by bus or car, respectively. In these towns, you can find various boat rental companies offering options from small motorboats to larger yachts. It’s recommended to book in advance, especially during peak season, to secure availability. Once you arrive at the marina, you'll complete paperwork and receive instructions on using the boat, with the option to rent with or without a captain. Afterward, you can explore the Amalfi Coast, enjoying hidden beaches, caves, and landmarks like Positano and the Blue Grotto. Head to the Beach
While Ravello doesn't have its own beach, there are several great beach clubs nearby in Amalfi, Maiori, Minori, and Positano. In Amalfi, Lido Azzurro offers lounge chairs and a relaxing atmosphere, just a 30-minute car or bus ride from Ravello. Maiori's Spiaggia di Maiori is the largest beach on the coast, with Lido Ristorante providing lounge chairs and seafood, a 10-15 minute bus ride away. Minori Beach is quieter, with Lido Minori offering a peaceful experience, just 10 minutes from Ravello. For a more exclusive experience, head to Santa Croce Beach in Praiano, which is accessible via boat from the main road, about 40 minutes away by car or bus.
