Marengo Cave U.S. National Landmark
One of Emily’s favorite childhood adventures. You do not need a reservation to take the tours, they sell the tickets in the giftshop. The cave system is absolutely gorgeous with flowing water and mirror pools.
Abraham Lincoln Boyhood Home and National Museum
Brown County State Park
This state park is located in Nashville, Indiana which is an adorable little town with great shopping and restaurants! If your lucky you can even catch a play at the Brown County Playhouse.
Holiday World & Splashin' Safari
A great theme park that allows you to celebrate multiple holidays in one day! At 11 years old, Emily took the leap to ride her very first roller coaster at Holiday World. The park is famous for their wooden coasters!
eXplore Brown County
One of the many zip lining locations in Indiana. It’s a great way to see the beauty of Brown County state Park. They even have paintball as well!
Huber's Orchard and Winery
Visit Huber's Orchard & Winery, a favorite destination in the Louisville region that can be enjoyed year-round. Things to do at this family fun attraction include seasonal U-Pick experiences, kids' activities at the Family Farm Park, shopping at the Farm Market, grabbing a bite to eat at Starlight Cafe, and listening to music during seasonal concerts. It is also home to Starlight Distillery and Huber Winery, Indiana’s largest estate-bottled winery. Enjoy tastings and guided tours on this 7th-generation family farm.
Clifty Falls State Park
Another great childhood adventure for Emily! This park is great for hiking and seeing beautiful waterfalls.
Exotic Feline Rescue Center
If you like big cats this is the place to see them. This center has rescued big cats from irresponsible pet owners, circuses and other unsafe conditions for these animals. The center will tell you all about the different cats and you get to seem them close up and personal.
Conner Prairie
One of the coolest attractions in Indiana! A living and interactive history park. Emily loved coming here for school field trips and learned to make candles and how to churn butter. The museum takes you back to 19th century Indiana living and has a fun spooky headless horseman experience around the fall.
