A boy from Peru and and a girl from Indiana met in New York City in February at the tail end of the pandemic of 2021. This was when the only thing to do on a first date was freeze outdoors while having a romantic brunch on the sidewalk. That first date was the beginning of 3 wonderful years of laughter, adventures, love and beautiful memories shared between them. Finally the stars were aligned to lead Lennon to popping the question on El Retiro Pond in Madrid, Spain. He wrote a heartfelt poetic rap written just for Emily, which ended with the words “so here is this ring to show you I mean business, Will you marry me?” A truly fairy tale start to the rest of their lives as soon to be Mr. And Mrs. Vargas!
