San Diego Zoo

San Diego Zoo Safari Park

Just a heads up that parking is $15 here. If you are planning a Safari Park day on your trip (yes you can spend the whole day at the Safari Park), let us know! We may want to join you. We love the Safari Park. Another heads up, the Safari Park is located a bit more inland, so it is usually quite a bit warmer than it is on the coast.

Bike and Kayak Tours Inc - La Jolla

They offer guided bike tours and kayaking tours, but they also just have gear rentals. If you want to kayak, snorkel, or bike in the La Jolla area, give them a ring!

Balboa Park

Balboa Park is home to the San Diego Zoo!! But there are also many other museums and gardens located throughout the park. It's a neat place to walk around and explore. If you're a museum enthusiast, check out the Balboa Park Explorer Pass! This pass will grant you entry to all 16 museums, and you can even add on the Zoo!

If you are able to come out for 3+ days of adventuring outside of the wedding, we suggest checking out the Go San Diego cards. The 3-day passes allow admission to a lot of activities like Sea World, the San Diego Zoo, museums in the area, and MORE. You can also use the Go San Diego cards for a free bike, kayak, surf board, SUP, and snorkel gear rental at San Diego Bike and Kayak Tours. Check out their website for a list of attractions.

Want to soak up the local beach life? Check out this surf shop for all your beach going rental needs! Want to ride giants? Hang ten? They offer both soft surf board rentals and fiberglass surfboards. Surfing sound too extreme? They also rent boogie boards! If you're afraid of the cooler Pacific Ocean temps, they also offer wetsuit rentals. They also offer lessons!
