Are you still getting married this September?

Answer

Short answer: Yes! Long Answer: We're having a small ceremony on September 19, 2020 with social distancing and masks. We going to schedule a wedding (vow renewal) and reception at a later date. We aren't sure of the new date yet, but we will update when we've figured it out.

Are you live streaming the wedding?

Answer

Yes! Here is the event URL: https://evt.live/emilyandjeremy9192020 Click on the link, and you can RSVP and get a reminder email! If you miss it live, you can go back and watch it at a later time. We’ll likely start the live stream around 2:15!

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will start promptly at 2:30 pm, so please arrive no later than 2:15 pm. If you arrive a little earlier, feel free to explore the gardens prior to the ceremony.

What are the current COVID guidelines in San Diego?

Answer

Weddings are allowed again as of June 15! While in public, everyone is required to wear a face mask. People are encouraged to maintain a safe social distance (6 ft) from those not in their household while out in public. For the latest up to date information: www.countynewscenter.com

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes! There is free parking onsite. There is also a Lyft/Uber drop off spot if you don't drive.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Garden cocktail attire + your finest face mask! Dress to have fun. It is an outdoor event, so be aware that grassy lawns are not always friendly towards high heels.

What is the weather like this time of year?

Answer

The average high is 77° F and the average low is 64° F. It is typically not very humid, and so after the sun goes down, it feels a bit cooler out. If you are enjoying time outside, we strongly encourage sunscreen.

Have you reserved hotel room blocks?

Answer

We have a limited number of rooms at a group rate at the Best Western. Check out the details under the Travel tab for a link to the discount rate booking. We recommend booking ASAP as there is also a big Woodie Car Show in Encinitas/Moonlight beach the same weekend.

Will there be food/drinks available?

Answer

Unfortunately at this time, we are not able to have any food or drinks available at the ceremony. At the postponed celebration, we plan to have both! We'll keep you posted as we know more.

So I heard there's a car show?

Answer

There WAS a car show... The 2020 Wavecrest Woodie Car show was cancelled due to the pandemic. You may still see a higher volume of woodie cars cruising through the area, but there will be no show this year.
