Jacob and Emily went to school together for many years before ever meeting. Until one random day in September, Jacob sent Emily a DM through Twitter asking her to jump out of her bedroom window to go and see a movie with him. From there, they couldn't stop talking and finding ways to meet up after school. There were a few secret car rides before practices, a birthday party where they shared a first kiss, and a last-minute trip to Cedar Point all before Jacob decided to ask Emily out at Quaker Steak on October 24, 2017.

The first time Emily met Jacob's parents (officially), several things could have gone much better. Some background about the situation; Jacob had two dogs at the time, a cane corso and a lab. His larger cane corso pup was not one to warm up to new company right away, the total opposite personality of his lab. Jacob and Emily were sitting on the couch in his living room, when all of a sudden, his lab barks out of nowhere and Emily threw her arms up in reaction thinking it was the cane corso. Well, this reaction caused Emily to whack Jacob's mouth hard enough to chip his front tooth (it was already fake). Fast forward to a few hours later, the couple jumped into Jacob's 2001 Ford Taurus to get Emily home for her curfew. Halfway to her house, the transmission of the car decided to die, leaving Jacob and Emily stranded in downtown Amherst at 9:00 at night. Quite an ending to an already eventful night!
