The geniuses whose wedding brought us together are going to be the people who make this whole marriage arrangement nice and legal. Patrick and Erin are proud parents to Murphy and the Dohony Brothers, Hank and Dean. Their relationship is founded on a mutual love of benign chaos, large Irish families, and a commitment to interfaith dialogue, as Erin is ordained in the Universal Life Church and Patrick is ordained through the Church of the Latter-Day Dude.
Maid of Honor
What can be said about a person who used to believe the bride was a literal demon? Judy has been one of Emily's friends since childhood, although it wasn't until high school that they really clicked and began plotting their escapes from Harleysville, PA. Judy lives with her husband Chris, who may also be the first boy she ever met, as well as their cat, Brandy.
Maid of Horror
Even though she and Emily met in their dorms at La Salle (and again in six classes freshman year) (and again for all those other years they lived together in college), their friendship has been around the world and back again thanks to their love of travel and the LGU program at La Salle. Together, Catherine and Emily have been to Vietnam twice. A travel bucket list for their friendship includes a pilgrimage to Miami, home of Dorothy Zbornack and Sophia Petrillo, the patron saints of the townhouses they shared.
Best Man
Erich's one and only brother. Kurt enjoyed 23 months as the only boy of the family before Erich arrived to shake things up. Having moved together to Baltimore City in 2014, they spent years navigating city-living while making frequent trips to various locales for concerts, festivals, and camping trips. Kurt lives in Baltimore's Canton neighborhood with his beloved record collection.
Best Maniac
Erich's oldest friend. Having met as children on the school bus, "Mattie P" and Erich spent their formative years together, nerding-out over movies, video games, and various interests that still consume their free-time. Matt lives in Fort Collins, Colorado with his wife, Bri, and young son, Rhourke.

Shannon Carr and Carolyn Caine have always been two of Emily's favorite people, even if it took a minute for the feeling to be mutual. They've been there for the ups, the hand-me-downs, and the bad haircuts that have seen Emily to this moment and have both been foundational to Emily's concept of what is cool (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Christopher Pike books, and Mr. Rogers). In deference to the way their taste has shaped Emily's (and out of deep respect for her elders), Shannon and Carolyn will read Emily's selection during the ceremony.

The remainder of the Gercke clan, Liesl and Kirsten are Erich's elder and wiser sisters. They made the noble sacrifice of wearing out Mary Lou and Chip so that Erich could spend his teenage years as a unsupervised latchkey kid. Liesl and Kirsten ensured that Erich grew up with the proper cultural influences: Titanic, Brandy and Monica, and Sister Sister.
